I prefer cold showers. Much more effective than coffee and saves me money because I'm not a coffee drinker. That **** adds up! I always chuckle to myself when I see all the sheep lined up at the drive-thru for Starbucks. Plus, by the time I hit the shower anyway everybody in the house already took all the hot water... -_-

I can't have caffeine so I don't like coffee, either. But this is pure cold water, like jumping into a lake. You at least have SOME hot water to warm it to roomish temperature. Next time to you take a shower, turn the hot totally and completely off and see how long you last. I prefer a cold shower, too. But this is too cold.

Yeah, like crazy. I had a friend over at the time and he said he could hear me gasping and moaning and lamenting the whole time. I hope I didn't annoy him with it. I was doing it for at least 20 minutes.

Yes!! I'll have hot water in just a few weeks!! Finally, no more cold showers. I took one the other day and it was pure torture. I was moaning and gasping because it was taking my body temperature too low to be comfortable. I didn't even put my whole body under the water, I just put one limb at a time for rinsing once I scrubbed down. Once I was done, I immediately ran upstairs where it was 80+ degrees and just laid in bed until I warmed up. I've never been so glad that my room isn't insulated. Next time I do it, I'm gonna take my temperature before and after just out of curiosity. I might as well strip and bathe in a stream like some elf in a fantasy world for how cold it is. But I'm thankful I was able to get one, even if it'll take a few weeks for delivery.

I've cleaned both men's restrooms and women's restrooms. Women's are so much worse. Sure, the sink in the men's room is kinda messy, but otherwise pretty ok. Occasionally see cigarette ash in an unflushed toilet so it's like an ash and piss soup, but you can just flush that. Women's rooms are a fucking trainwreck. Explosive diarrhea on the seats, walls, and floors, nasty period stuff in the metal receptacles, dirty diapers in the same receptacles, toilet paper all over the place like somebody thought they were streamers, and sometimes someone gets the bright idea to lock the stall door, probably crawl under, and leave it locked from the inside. One time I even found plastic packaging for a dick shaped lollipop shoved in the dispenser for the toilet seat covers. Like, what even the fuck? People are fucking animals.

Check the actual water connections to each thing. Like it should be on the way by the toilet for that, etc.

They might have shut them before the water got turned off.

I tried messing with the valve behind the toilet, but it didn't seem to do anything. The sink and the tub aren't working, either. Are they on the same line or something?

NES4EVER posted...
Houses usually.have a internal shut off and a street shut off. You need a special tool but look for a plastic or steel cover on your lawn that's about 8x12 inches (I think).

That's the valve that allows you to shut off or turn in water from the city pipes.

That's what the water guy did today. He had this giant T shaped pole he stuck into a pipe in my lawn. That turned the water on. He turned the valve in my house on, too. The problem is just in the bathroom.

I got the water turned on... But there's a problem. There's no leaks so that's good and the valve for the water is turned off so that's good, but the water in the bathroom doesn't seem to be working. The sink won't turn on nor the bathtub. The toilet tank won't fill, either. The only thing that works is the kitchen sink. It's better than I had, but not as good as it could be. Any resident plumbers or DIY savvy people here on CE know what's wrong?

Different shut offs? It very well could be an external thing.

I wish I knew. It's nice to have water in the kitchen, but it's just not enough. I can't keep traveling to friends' houses to take showers. It's time consuming and a little rude. What can I give them in return for that kind of service anyway? Money I guess. Dunno what else I could provide.
