Furries are not drawn to look like real animals. They are drawn to resemble anthropomorphic animal cartoon characters. There may be some correlation between this and wanting to have sex with actual animals but even the furries who make it into a sexual fetish (and let's be clear here, most of them just like to read non-sexual comics or treat it like a cosplay hobby) don't cross over into being attracted to actual animals most of the time. They are just too different. If someone wanted to have sex with, say, Rocket Raccoon then I would expect that person to want to have sex with real life Raccoons as well. On the other hand if they were attracted to, say, Gadget from Rescue Rangers then I wouldn't expect that to translate into sexual attraction to actual mice.

Girls in lolicon fetish are drawn to look like children as much as possible. Their characters also act childlike and innocent. It's supposed to be about sex with children. There are some that go out of their way to have the character be over age or a robot or something but even then, the artist is trying to make them look as much like an actual underage girl as possible.

It's like how if someone's favorite kind of porn was 2D girls with big boobs, I would expect him to also be attracted to women with big boobs in real life, at least more than small boobed women. If he was into 2D porn with dominating women, I would expect him to be into dominating women more than submissive ones. And if he were into lolicon, I would expect him to find children more sexually attractive than adult women in real life too.

That doesn't necessarily make them child molesters, but I'll bet that a good majority of them would have sex with children if they knew it wouldn't hurt the girl, and they wouldn't get in trouble for it. Or if it ever became possible and legal to have sex with robots that are extremely realistic representations of human girls, I think a lot of lolicon fans would jump at the chance.

With hair, it's not so much one being recessive as much as that if your hair has both red and black pigments, it just looks black. Just like if you took red ink and colored over it with black, it would just look black.

For example east Asians generally have red in their hair but it also has dark black so you can't see it. But if they bleach it, it will turn reddish orange. They have to bleach a lot to get it to blonde.

This is true. One thing a lot of people don't realize is that other races may have what are thought of as Caucasian features but you can't see it because they also have dark features. For example east Asian hair is black but also has red pigment mixed in. When they bleach their hair the red is harder to bleach out do they will be left with a reddish tint.

Look, I do remember them. I had one of their albums (I forget the name, the one with Cut Your Hair). It was okay but I never really got into it. It had a cover of an R.E.M. song which I liked, and the music was fine, but nothing special.

I know that they were always critical darlings with a strong cult following although I thought it had died out with the 90s. There are a good number of indie bands with a niche audience and a few critics that love them but that doesn't necessarily make them the best ever.

There were also a number of of weird indie bands that made it big because they appealed to a broader audience. I tend to think those bands were better.

I'm not going to have a long argument but coming here and going "I don't think you can argue against Pavement being the best band of the 90s" is just silly. Especially because part of the reason people won't argue with you is because they're so obscure now. I guess technically it's true because few people know enough about Pavement to argue with you. I am one of those people--I never was really a fan, and had mostly forgotten about them.

But come on, man. At some point you have to accept that just because you and some people you know really love something that doesn't mean it's automatically great.
