Why is rape a case where abortion is acceptable? If life begins at conception or some other time early on making abortion immoral, then why would the fact that rape led to the pregnancy make abortion acceptable?

Stagecoach is probably the best western I've seen with John Wayne. I'm not the biggest fan of The Searchers because it's pretty transparent and takes the trope of "Injuns are bad!" to the extreme. Still worth a watch if you can ignore the bigoted message.

Other good John Wayne westerns are:

Angel and the Badman
The Sons of Katie Elder
The Shootist
Rio Bravo
El Dorado (Basically a remake of Rio Bravo but still worth watching)
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Red River
