I mean, this is kind of the point of the whole "ephebophile vs. pedophile" thing going on in this thread. Ethically and morally, there is a decided continuum that doesn't necessarily fall in line with the black and white legal definitions.

For example, I don't think most people have an issue with two 17 year olds dating. One of that pair is almost certainly going to turn 18 before the other. Is there really a sudden issue that appears for a few months, and then disappears when the other turns 18? Even legally, most states have provisions for this sort of thing.

Or from another point of view, how many people really think that it's just as ok for a 75 year old to fuck an 18 year old as it is for a 19 year old to fuck an 18 year old? One of these is clearly more questionable than the other from an ethical and moral standpoint even if both scenarios are perfectly legal.

Of course, these scenarios bring nuance into a discussion that a lot of people want to treat as pure black and white, so....
