Some of the devs on that game worked on the other two games I mentioned. It has an actual solid plot, great art style, wonderful battle animations, a full fledged, fun tactics battle system. Only drawback is its made by gumi, so the drop rates are God awful, but if you're not after a specific hero, it's not much of an issue.... Yet. I might. I know Shimomura also does the OST for that game, but I was told it's rather half-hearted in quality. That SMT one I also didn't know was a thing, I want it... But yeah, like @Yaoyorozu,I'm waiting on Food Fantasy. xP --- |

| Leanaunfurled 07/11/18 11:31:36 PM #7 | The only that's held my interest the most and longest is Granblue Fantasy. It's Japanese-only, but it has an official high quality English option. Main story starts off standard but actually gets pretty interesting not too far in. Bunch of characters and weapons, the characters with their own VA and gorgeous artwork, and there's usually some kind of event going on if you want to do that, including a good amount of collaboration ones. The company is also really generous with items. --- |

Idol Springs used to be a bit of a drab level for aesthetic purposes but for some reason they turned up the colour brightness to cloying levels. Spyro just looks awful. He looks like a... a plastic dragon. Spyro didn't look like a dragon. He looked like a edgy 90s mascot who happened to be a dragon. lulok? --- |

I know there's a couple games that were released in Japan that weren't localized yet, and I don't know if I should wait for them or not. You played Sky 3rd as well, right? it's separate from FC/SC but it's really lore-heavy and serves as a bridge moving on from Sky. You can jump straight into Cold Steel, but when it comes time for Cold Steel III, the Japanese-only games, Zero and Ao, are necessary. Good news is CSIII isnt localized yet and hasn't even been announced for it, while we'll have fan translations of Zero and Ao soon on PC. --- |
