When you are pushed, your human instinct of survival is to push back, not stand there while they press you to the ground and put cuffs on you for absolutely no reason. And it is absolutely no reason. He is crossing an empty street, in the dead of night, it is ridiculous that these cops would waste a persons times like this, I'm 100% behind Johnny, he was trying to talk to them normally, and these guys, these 4 thugs, act like they're some big figures of authority. Please! What a joke. This man is probably not in financial condition to be paying a preposterous jaywalking fine, or asking friends or family to bail him out on account of jaywalking, or worse, there's a chance that he might get killed by some racist cops, who seem to be purposefully picking on him. He measures his options and thinks that his best option is to just try to run away, and hope that they won't come after him, since his crime was so ridiculously minor. He made a mistake on that. If he starts running, they will think he is guilty, even if he was white. A running suspect is a guilty suspect in the police's mind. And they're usually right about that. He didn't run until they started getting physical and trying to arrest him. Here's the real problem. They don't give a s*** about this "N word". They don't care that his going home and he had a long day of work and he's tired. They have no empathy for this guy. They're trying to enforce a stupid rule, under stupid circumstances, using excessive force. Absolutely no sympathy for them, and I am very outraged.
