The fact that so few people are mentioning Skies of Arcadia blows my mind.

Also some of these nominations over more obvious things such as Cave Story, Crystalis and Grim Fandango which are regarded as classics in their genres and stood the test of time makes no sense. I guess you could make the argument against Cave Story thanks to the 3DS remake but ehhhhh.

Also if we're going to delve into personal preference my answer is and always will be FTL.

I'm in the minority that thinks Spirit of Justice was great until the final case. I was even convinced it was easily the best Ace Attorney game until the second half of the final case more precisely.

But hell I think 6-2 is the best Phoenix Wright case out of all the games so it's probably not even worth listening to my opinion.

Pusha's diss track is incredible. Buzzfeed already ran a story saying Pusha went too far which is hilarious considering the day before they ran a story about how amazing and woke Drake's diss track was. Really highlights just how disconnected from reality that site is.

Yeah there are pockets of Cincinnati that are nice, and there are some cool things such as Oktoberfest and the Lights exhibit, but it is by and large just 'fine' in my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt though. I hated Cincinnati when I lived there because driving everywhere was terrible and there wasn't much to do. Now I highly value walking everywhere but I'd never walk from OTR up to Clifton where most of my friends live after a night out. Even if I didn't find it super sketch I probably still wouldn't simply because no one else would. Once walkability increases then I'll be more inclined to enjoy my time in Cincy.

I heard the game was better than the first but it has really, really blown away and subverted my expectations.

I'm about two hours in, counting deaths, and the game's scope has expanded immensely. Initially, it seemed like a more polished version of the first game and not all that different. You have your town and the main shift you are digging down through. Besides quality of life improvements such as the cog system and general increase I'm presentation values it wasn't all that different.

But then I got to the wall and entered the glowing fauna/water area. Suddenly there was this beautiful environment with a bunch of unique and threatening enemied. It was more 'defined' than the main shaft I had been digging in, but still had plenty to explore. I don't know if I sequence broke with some well timed wall jumps but I found myself back at the beginning of the game, but everything was different. The world suddenly had become massive in scope and super well connnected. I saw a bit of this when trying to go through the windy plains but this was something else entirely.

It sounds dumb considering it is a Metroidvania and I knew that going in, but I just can't get over how immensely the world expanded so suddenly. I expected it to follow the same design as the original but man, I haven't felt this excited about a Metroidvania's world in a while.

I had to express my excitement somewhere. It's been a long time since a game made me feel this genuinely happy. If you haven't checked out this game I highly suggest doing so. Also, please mark spoilers if you feel inclined to talk about them. Thanks.

I very much disagree with the notion OTR is nice and that Cincinnati is a millenial city. Majority of OTR is still horrible and crackheads are still rampant. Yeah Main and Vine are cool... for like two blocks. Went to Lucy Blue a month ago. Crackhead came in trying to sell customets a lamp she clearly found in the dumpster. They were also understaffed so the one man working left and paid a homeless guy to help bus tables. It was awesome how bad it all wad. As far as millenial city, the only people I see supporting this assertion are people from Cincinnati.

If you can't tell I hate Cincinnati and despise every single moment I find myself back there.

It's pretty much impossible to 'cure' cancer considering it's caused by random DNA mutagenesis, but we'll see some very effective treatments in our lifetime. We're getting better at targeted therapies of things that are specific to the cancer cells thereby alleviating detrimental, noncancerous cell death. We've gone from a shotgun approach towards more rational based drug design.

Anyway RIP Totalbiscuit. I always enjoyed your 'WTF is...' series of videos.

Don't have the Skylanders portal but the third save file had two scanned in and only about 50min played. I was super confused when I tried starting a new game and it got to the portal part. Also the presentation values for the opening segment was surprisingly bad.

Game itself is fun but a lot of stuff pops into view. Also, needing a whole bunch of figures to do 2 of 5 challenges for every level is a bit overkill, not to mention the levels locked behind figures. Despite the gamrplay and level designs being very solid the paid figure 'dlc' is slammed down your throat at every opportunity. Could have been a really great Spyro game but whatever.

Will end up selling Pokemon and Golden Sun. I want to convince myself I like Pokemon... but I really just don't. I have X and Moon and find them pleasant but that's about it. Never beaten either, get bored, can't imagine any Pokemon is any different. Golden Sun sounds like a huge disappointment.

Cedar Point is supposed to be the best in the world, so it may be worth going to regardless. Chicago is a good option, but there isn't really too much around Chicago to go to. You're probably better driving east towards NYC/Boston through Pennsylvania and upstate NY. You'll go through the Appalachians which are beautiful. NYC itself is, well, NYC. Stay a day maybe. Boston would be way more interesting for him with the old cobblestone streets, history, harbor, Harvard/MIT, etc. If you really want a cool experience, you could even go to Acadia National Park which is stunning.

All of that is possible for a week. I've gone from Cincinnati to Boston then Montreal and back in like 5 days and had an awesome time.

Season 2 sounds so dumb it could be fun though.
