Physical fitness absolutely does involve self-learning and improvement. You have to be consistent and dedicated to get any kind of gains, and there's a method to improvement as you could be working out incorrectly and hurt your body.

In any case, I've been dabbling with

- Boxing
- coding
- Japanese
- Cooking (though my knife skills and hot hands have deteriorated since I left the kitchen)

As someone who can't draw, this is slightly upsetting. I took a computer animation course where it was basically building a physics engine and then using it to create scenes, I found that I had a really rough time creating "scenes". I would make objects, and then see how they react to the new mechanics we implemented, pat myself on the back for a job well done and call it a week. What the best people do, they have a vision on what they want to implement and they execute it with incredible skill.

For instance, for an assignment where we were implementing Rigid body mechanics, I made a scene where was a cog seemingly driving other cogs. We didn't implement collision detection at the time so I took some liberties and thought it was great. Then I saw another guy's piece of work, it was basically a winter wonderland! It was brimming with color with snow flakes floating in the wind with the trees bending in that direction. It was beautiful!

Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is that you clearly have a vision and in what you execute and they genuinely look good. As someone who can't draw without a computer, don't say you can't draw, you can.

I went with some friends on a catamaran and chilled out with the captain. Man he made it seem like the life. We grilled burgers like crazy, we sailed between out between different islands (I live in the Caribbean) to snorkel. It was relaxing. When I retire I wouldn't mind owning and living out on a boat and doing what he did, renting out his home to people for a day a few times a week.

But if you're not going to incorporate the boat into your lifestyle in a meaningful manner, I can see where people are coming from when they say:

The big issue I have with the story is that it's in direct contradiction with the apocalyptic setting. It doesn't make sense that you're busy shooting up a room filled with people when zombies are lurking, preying on you, right outside the door. Given how Naughty Dog isn't all that diverse in their gameplay, it's not surprising they'd amp up the shooter aspect in their game. If this was a movie, and they maintained the amount of human killing, the storyline would have been chewed up and spit out.

TopicStudy: We're told gentrification is 'bad', but inaction is far worse
Sad_Face
06/24/18 5:50:19 PM

Seeing as if you walked down the street in Brooklyn and notice a distinct difference in the neighborhood demographics types compared over a decade ago, and how my sister referred me to a Affordable Housing application to live in NYC a while ago, I became a bit skeptical and looked for article that backs up my bias.

https://citylimits.org/2015/11/20/the-complicated-research-on-how-gentrification-affects-the-poor/
The first, a 2004 paper by Lance Freeman and Frank Braconi, looked at gentrification in New York City from 1991 to 1999, focusing on Chelsea, Harlem, the Lower East Side, Morningside Heights, Fort Greene, park Slope and Williamsburg. Each of those neighborhoods had a higher proportion of white people, higher average rents, higher average incomes and higher educational attainment at the end of the study period. Compared to other neighborhoods of the city, however, low-income people in those gentrifying areas were 19 percent less likely to move. In 2005, Freeman wrote about the topic again, using national data. This time, he didnt find lower mobility in gentrifying areas: Instead, he found a modest increase in displacement in those neighborhoods, but it wasnt any higher for poor people.

A 2010 paper by Ingrid Gould Ellen and Katherine M. ORegan, two researchers at the Furman Center, which Been led at the time, produced perhaps the most sanguine results...

That paper, which used Census data and examined neighborhood changes in the 1990s, also found no evidence that neighborhoods that experienced a gain in income relative to the metro area as a whole saw an increase in the percentage of residents who were white. Of course, each of these findings is based on averages; some individual neighborhoods naturally followed a different course, the researchers noted.

Indeed, these empirical studies clash directly with what seems to the naked eye to be true in some of those very neighborhoods Freeman and Braconi examined 11 years ago. How is it those communities have changed so visibly if the evidence suggests the process at play there does not typically uproot poor people?

In his 2005 work, Freeman makes an important point: What was significant in the data he studied was not so much who was or wasnt being driven out of gentrifying neighborhoods but who was coming in: people more likely to be white and with higher incomes than the original residents. Other research indicates that, as one might expect, poor people are less able to move into gentrifying areas than other neighborhoods. And a study of gentrification in England and Wales by Freeman, Adele Cassola and Tiacheng Cai that was published this year noted that low-income households have much higher turnover rates than other households.

Put it all together, and youve got this: Gentrification might not drive poor people out of neighborhoods, but gentrifying neighborhoods are where theres a greater risk that when low-income households leave their apartments those spots will be taken up by wealthier people. In other words, the issue isnt displacement of the poor, but replacement.

Who are you referring to as those people bringing us down to their levels? Cartels? The actual threat? They come and go as they please. They got money. And obviously they want to stay down in Central America because that's their home base and they basically run their countries down there.

To solve the issues of CA, we'd have to solve the issue of gun control as the US' ease of access to buying guns is what gives the cartels so much power. In addition, the US would have to hold large banks accountable for money laundering because said cartels come up to the US for all their financial needs.

If you have enough money you can buy like pre chopped versions of a lot of things. I didn't know it was a thing until I saw it. Like chopped onions packaged in a container. Lol.

You know an easy way to chop onions? Cut it in half from point to point like this onion here:

http://images.wisegeek.com/three-onions-against-white-background.jpg

Then you put it on flat part down on the board and cut off the disc at the root or the opposite end:

http://images.tutorvista.com/content/angiosperm-morphology/onion-bulb.jpeg

Then, assuming you cut off the root, and the exposed front is facing you, you peel the tunic back to just an inch from the back, and then cut lines perpendicular (each cut goes from front to back) to where you peeled the tunic back to. Then once you cut parallel lines to the back, each cut will drop perfectly diced onions pieces. And even better, you can store the onion with the perpendicular slices as is and only cut parallel to get some diced onions when you need them. It's a fantastic way prepping onions when you need them diced.

After Niashvilic family all shot in legs, Private Bork Doggovic is sent to kill and eat remains

No tears are being the shed. Is rather uneventful day.

This isn't a fair comparison. The US has a hand in perpetuating the violence in Central America thanks to how easy it is to buy weapons and how banks such as HSBC will aid cartels in money laundering. This allows cartels to run amok and control their respective countries in Central America and can kill citizens at whim and disrespect human rights as they see fit. Thus, said citizens will flee their homes and come up to the US for like you said, in search of a better life. Now what is Russia doing that has an indirect influence on Georgia to cause their citizens to flee Georgia in search of a better, safer life?

I was indifferent. I've come to expect this type of behavior from this piss poor excuse for an administration.

I feel rather hypocritical in my response now since I generally am not fazed by anything Trump says and always ask my parents why they get so bent out of shape with the same reaction each and every time Trump does that kind of stuff. This story here, it crossed a line with me, but I really shouldn't expect any kind of decency from them.

playing devils advocate, but sometimes the situation is worse where they originally come from. So they can't apply for citizenship, or are denied citizenship because they can't afford to pay whatever fees come with it.

not our fucking problem.

a country has a right to exist and to have borders and control who they allow into it.

Because of the ease of access in guns in the US, cartels regularly travel stateside to replenish and restock on arms to be used to reek terror down in Latin America. It also helps that there are a number of banks that money launder for cartels in the US and protect them from US regulation. So yes, it is our problem. The immigrants running to the US in search of safety and asylum are a direct result of negligence on the US' part.
