Good catch. You're right I didn't notice that and I should have because his name is even mentioned. Luckily the intent of bringing up the article, that the way we treat men being sexually assaulted is different than the way we treat women, is the same. Do you disagree with the premise?

I disagree with this premise, and I'd argue that myself and people on my "side" have been arguing for criminal justice reform as it pertains to cases of sexual assault for decades. You may have a point about the social shaming and societal reaction, although we'd likely disagree on the cause of that, but this sadly seems like a case of needing more reform in the law, again. There's a long of victims, both women and men, who this has affected for years.

I didnt know that...huh

I realized it when they came to Hulu years ago and I did a rewatch and started seeing lines and jokes that were completely cut from the syndicated version. It's never anything THAT important, at least with Seinfeld that I remember, but I'm sure it happens all over the place.

Lmao you're absolutely adorable when you try to argue polling. I'm sure you held Rasmussen to the same level of scrutiny when they predicted Romney to win over Obama in 2012. Or, because I'm sure you don't feel that's recent enough, how about when they polled the Virginia gubernatorial race to be a tie while Northam won by +8.9?

Trump passed Obama last week in the Rasmussen poll, which was the most accurate predictor of the popular vote in the general election. If this triggers you, that's your problem. It's not spreading bullshit just because it doesn't confirm to your desired narrative.

This is the same Rasmussen that predicted Hillary was going to win, right? Just so we're on the same page here. Likewise if you're going to dismiss RCP for including outliers unweighted, would 538 suffice? Meh, why am I asking when I already know you're going to dismiss them. Likewise those Obama numbers included polls from places like Fox News and The Economist, which had him sitting at -16 and -13 respectively. Would you consider those outliers and thus Obama's numbers should be higher?

Look man, I know you ultimately are going to believe whatever you want with your stupid ass misuse of data, but that doesn't change reality. And if you pick and choose to believe specific polls that fit the narrative you want to be true, well, as you said, that's your problem.

Trump's ratings now are higher than Obama's were at this point in his second term, so that's a pretty big fail by Kimmel.

This is such a disingenuously stupid point that I'm shocked you'd still peddle it. Comparing a first term president with a second term president and attempting to line up the years is a horrible comparison and is such a misuse of data.

Not to mention, it's not even true:

Trumps approval rating after 411 days in office. Average score on RCP: 40.2

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

3/7/2014 would be 411 days after Obama's 2nd inauguration. Average score on RCP: 42.9

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html

And according to that site, Obama dipped below Trump's approval rating all of ONE time from where he is presently sitting. So stop spreading this bullshit please.

I'm describing his attitude and the way he handles political matters. Not his job title. And I'm not holding him to a lower bar in anything. I didn't give a shit when Clinton slept with an intern and I don't care that JFK had an affair. Therefore I don't care what Trump may have done with women in the past either. It's not important for the presidency.

But hey, go ahead and just keep calling everyone that doesn't call him literal hitler a cultist. Eventually you'll realize you're part of the problem with our country's inability to get anything done.

By holding him to a lower standard than any other politician under the guise that he's not actually one, you are absolutely holding him to a lower bar. And if you think that's the only thing people don't hold Trump accountable for then you're far more blind to your partisanship than you recognize.

And who brought up Hitler? I've never once called him Hitler, and in fact think the whole "nazi" thing to describe his supporters is a weak attack not grounded in reality and should be saved for the actual neo-nazi's that have been on the rise throughout the West in the last decade or so. But I'm calling you a cultist as, from what I've seen you post here, there's absolutely nothing Trump could do or say that would make you disagree with him.

As for blaming people who hate him for holding up Government, well, turnabout is fair play. The GOP opened this can of worms over 20 years ago with Newt Gingrich and his declaration to oppose Bill at every turn and they kicked it into overdrive with Obama, so fuck em.

I don't give a fuck what he did in a previous life, his lack of experience coming in, or anything like that, the moment he decided to run for the Presidency he became a politician, and specifically since he won this is the job he signed up for.

Frankly it's pathetic that you all grade him on such a lower bar than anyone else because you refuse to hold him accountable for anything he's ever said or done. But hey, cultists got to cult

He's consistently in the 30s for his approval ratings which falls in line with the amount of actual supporters of his.

Basically this. At the start of the Republican primary he hovered around 35-38% of the support of the general public as a whole up until the convention when he was named the nominee, and the ~10% of Republicans that held out came home. Since then he's fluctuated from like 45-50% support without much change. And honestly, it's unlikely that will ever get much higher than that given how partisan the country and government are as well as how divisive Trump is as a person.

Scandals DO affect him though, just depends on the scandal itself and the timing. If you look after some major events last few years he would lose a few percentage points here and there. But the Democrats in general have the same type of reaction.
