Here's the way I see it. You spend tons of times with your kids until they turn into a teenager. Then they're going to want their own privacy (hanging out with other friends after school, dating other people, etc) and you just see them once you arrive home from work. Then when college comes aeoubd, they leave for 4 years, maybe come back to work locally or find a job far from your home, and you just hardly see them anymore. After that, they'll have their own house and family and visit during the holidays (mainly thanksgiving and christmas) but in the end, it's just you and your spouse most of the time and the only time you'll spend the most time again with them is when you're in your death bed.

What if they start their own family then move out or are too busy to take care of them because of work? Or what if you have a shit child?
