Very close. About a full year after my mom's suicide, I just stopped. I stopped going to work. I stopped paying bills. I was days away from being evicted and the only thought going through my mind was to drive to Colorado, spread her ashes and then kill myself. I knew it would hurt my dad, but I felt he was strong enough to make it through it. And yes, right or wrong, that was a selfish thought. I got lucky that a friend of the family found out, somehow, that I was about to be evicted and took me in. Had she not done that, I wouldn't be here today. When the friend of the family took me in, I immediately got myself back on track. There were bumps, and there always will be, but the thought of leeching off somebodies kindness is a feeling I couldn't stand. That's was able to move foward and get my life back on track.

Saying someone is selfish when their actions caused you pain is not vilifying somebody. Kilmer is going through a hard time right now, and I would expect someone who's attempting to defend someone who killed themselves because of their pain to maybe, possibly, think about the pain of those he left behind. Have you ever lost someone to suicide? Have you lost anybody at all in any fucking way? Your emotions and mental state are not in the best of places when shit like this happens. I lost my mom that way, and let me tell you, it wrecks the mental and emotional state of those left behind. Six years later and I still love, miss and am angry at my mom for taking herself away. One thing Jesse points out is that TB introduced him to the Yogscast. If that hadn't happened, he wouldn't have made the trip to England with Dodger where she met Sam Thorne (aka Strippin) which she eventually married and recently had a baby with.

Listening to this now. Genna sounds like she's doing well through such a hard time. I know she had years to brace for it, but I'm still happy she's able to reminisce fondly but keep moving forward. Props to her.
