| MFBKBass5 06/30/18 12:54:48 PM #1 | Single player games are so short and boring nowadays. I miss games like Resident Evil where part of the gameplay element was getting to the typewriter to save. And if you die without saving, you have to restart. Or like in Dark Souls...it's SO rewarding to finally find that bonfire after struggling through some area that keeps kicking your ass. I feel like it's something not many people think about much anymore, but it really has changed the way we play games a ton. I remember replaying sections of older games OVER and OVER trying to get to a checkpoint.
