Strange that Dr. Mario isn't an echo fighter.

I think it's mostly because Dr. has a totally different down B move than normal Mario.

Echos (I think) have exactly the same moves but with different properties sometimes. Like Dark Pit uses all the same Pit animations, but his fist is electric and he has some different numbers for damage and frame data or whatever.

so I guess Pichu is more different than Pikachu than I remember because I would have thought he qualified. Young Link for Toon Link too.

Dixie and/or K.Rool are the biggest snubs so far, I think.
There's other big characters from unrepresented series they could put in, but they seem unlikely because those series are dead at this point( Golden Sun, Advanced Wars).

Fawful would be cool and they just remade / are remaking the two games he's in. Paper Mario would also be neat.
