So I guess Punk was crying at the trial after saying that he made a lot of bad judgment in 2014. He also describes how miserable and in pain he was. I honest to god don't blame the dude for wanting to leave when he did. It actually seems like from this and the comment about him saying how hard it was to listen to the podcast again shows he's legitimately got major issues from that time.

But man. Reading on, they have a ton of evidence of Punk telling people about this cyst he had. But this part particular made me respect Punk, even if the dude did a lot of things I don't respect:

Punk felt relief after the podcast. I could move on with my life.
Punk never listened to the podcast because he lived it.
Counsel: Do you feel bad about anything you said in this podcast? Punk: No.
Punk confirms the text exchange with Colt that ends in but fuck him. Him referring to Amman.
Everything was the truth, and I think the truth can hurt.
He was threatening my friend with lawyers.
Punk stands by the essential truth of his story on the podcast.

So the Punk/Amann trial went through Colt's testimony and started Punk's testimony. They're pretty airtight. They tried to get the trial thrown out because Amann's counsel failed to show defamation but Judge denied.

Punk says listening to that podcast for the first time before the trial was hard because he was trying so hard to forget it. But he confirms he wasn't always talking about Amann when it came to being treated.

Most important is that Punk confirmed CM stands for Chick Magnet. Finally we have confirmation.

This case is basically totally done for Amann.

Those are exactly my thoughts. It seems like such a pointless line of questioning and it works in favor against them almost. I guess maybe they'll have even more testimonies for things unrelated to the Rumble? I hope so for their case. But this is such a large amount of time to be spent on this.

To be clear, I think that Punk would need to try pretty hard to lose this case.

You can't put any sort of price on Amann's damages. How do you put a price on his literal only damages being Twitter Harassment. Makes no sense. Is Punk going to owe him and his family a turkey? If he had any damages related to his job or friends or colleagues, it's one thing, but this is nothing.

It basically is. But Punk is being particularly obnoxious and his lawyer sorta sucks, so the jury may not like that. But I think the line of questioning has sufficiently buried Amann since he has provided literally no actual damages. It's boggling how he thought he had a case and I totally see why they didn't settle. There's absolutely nothing there from Amann's side.

This seems really misguided. By the time this comes out it'll have almost been two and a half years since Go came so I don't see where they think this big casual boost to the Switch is coming from.

I'll put this in perspective for you.

Pokemon Go is still the #4 grossing game on Android. It is under Candy Crush, some new DBZ game, and a Slotomania. It is still making loads of money and tons of people play it. The fact that it pairs up with Pokemon Go also encourages people to get back into Pokemon Go.

They'll feed each other basically. But I still have no interest in going back to Pokemon Go or any variant, but that won't stop tons of people from doing so.

I get my Walking Dead recaps from my old coworker who got tired of it because while Negan is an entertaining villain, they've plot deviced his survival a lot. She's a middle aged mom, so she's super casual about the show, but her other complaints were about wasting time with caring about people who die needlessly and that she said it's happened too many times. I think she also said the only character she likes is Carol, and even then she's not feeling it anymore.

I think the show is just made to not be able to last and hold interest. They managed to make it last longer without a falloff than I expected.

I've told this story before, but why not again?

When she was doing the Arnold Expo thing in Columbus, she literally ran all the way through the convention center to take a picture with these two kids with social issues. She said she had to make it fast because her bus is leaving. And then she made a mad sprint back to her bus through the entire convention center to get her bus.

She didn't have to run through this convention center to get a picture with these kids, but she did with the danger of the bus leaving without her. She's a genuinely good person.

You are probably not far off man.

My aunt has been battling cancer and went with standard chemo that failed. She's been doing an experimental treatment for the Cleveland Medical Institution for over a year now. She is doing better than ever and the cancer seems to be almost gone now. She was one of the fortunate ones to be given the actual drug and not the place on and test ones.

The plan is, if enough results are conclusive, to sell this drug in any pharmacy. Like you could just pick it up in Walmart.

To an extent this is right, since there are TONS of games that are equally shit as his games which get a pass because it's not a meme to hate on those games.

But his games are undeniably shit. The fact that gamers are so eager to ignore the faults of, or even praise, other shit games doesn't change that.

I think it's more that his games are presented as the peak of storytelling of video games is why it gets so much more focused than most other games. It's a meme because it's the most popular of it's genre and it's treated like it's something much more special than it ever is.

I think it's bad writing making her so unreasonable here though.

Like five different people have told her she's being unreasonable and laid it out for her as simply as they could and she still doesn't seem like she gets it really. Mostly because I feel like this probably should've lasted an episode before Kara got it based on the fact that she isn't really that unreasonable of a person.

I think it would have made more sense if DeVoe's abilities in his mind kind of faltered once Ralph was fighting back against him. Like, when he has more control or determination, DeVoe's abilities fall off in his head because he's focusing on keeping control too much, and all he can do is throw weaker bodies at him. Or if they had to beat so many of his bodies to weaken a barrier DeVoe had in his mind for Barry to break through. I dunno. It was sloppy and bothersome. They could have done much better. Also, why set up that stuff with Caitlyn in the last episode with no attempt to make a resolution with it? That's just poor timing.

Anyway, at least Supergirl is............... passable? Sometimes. It hasn't bothered me nearly as much as it does at peak Supergirl, so that's a good sign. I think the whole Kara/Mon-El storyline sorta sucks though, and that brings it down. And Kara being a fucking idiot when it comes to Lana is dumb too and Lana is totally in the right of everything. I find the cult stuff interesting though, I like Reign well enough, but whenever they have stuff like Alex trying to be a good surrogate mom it sort of sucks. This is a show that is somehow better when they don't focus on their actual real life drama.

Nord is Big Cass is probably going to have another ACL surgery now. Supposedly he has sucked in the ring because he came back too early from his injury. But having seen the majority of his matches, he probably sucks in the ring because he's Big Cass.

Regardless, the dude is probably done now and I will not miss him. Feel kinda bad though since injuries sucked, but he was so hard to watch for this past month.

Aside from being a David Cage game, it's probably going to be a very poorly written mess where they fail to handle their giant metaphor for slavery with the sort of finesse needed to make it any sort of meaningful, and every David Cage interview about this game has been met with either him getting incredibly angry or Cage swearing up and down that this game isn't a giant metaphor for slavery even though it has many elements from slavery including spiritual songs about them being slaves.

Also, without Aiden English, Lana doesn't get even half the reaction she did tonight. Because Aiden English is amazing and the greatest thing they did was not get rid of him in this act. I don't even like Lana that much but I was hype to see her go out there and attempt what she thinks wrestling is. Aiden deserve so much props for this. I would have to think Lana and Rusev tried super hard to convince them to let Aiden stay.

205 Live was a lot of fun too. Probably better.

But I just need to say it seems like they're finally letting the Rusev Crew be face after fighting it for months. Billie Kaye and Peyton Royce are up there for best heels right now because they just know how to rile up a crowd more than most people.

However, Lana in the MITB match is a horrifying thought and I have no idea what she'll do. Like none. You didn't trust her to go out there and at least pretend to have a match with Billie Kaye for even one minute. You have the most basic thing ever because you think that's all she can handle. And they're probably right unless she has improved greatly!

But man. Freaking Lana can handle the Iconics by herself in no time but Charlotte gets utterly demolished by them. That's so strange.

You know, it kind of makes sense why Fox cancelled a ton of their shows or gave them one more season because of how much they'll be paying for this.

Smackdown currently gets a 0.7 rating and Agents of SHIELD, which people have been suspecting should have been canceled season after season due to declined ratings, has a 0.5 rating.

I would go ahead and assume FOX isn't paying nearly that much for Agents of SHIELD when compared to this Smackdown deal. So does FOX expect a ratings bump from this on top of the 0.7? Because that seems questionable.

Frank's strength is low, so that means firearms don't do damage, Carlitos is shooting at you from a distance, you only have a handgun, and your health is only a few squares, and aiming is super slow

in later playthroughs you can just bumrush him, take the shots as you're running to him and beat him to death IIRC

This is basically where I ended up stuck.

I would just explore and look around and do everything I could on each consecutive try until I could kill him.

Like, you learn where to get OJ for easy healing, and that helped me most of anything else honestly. You learn where to get better weapons, best paths, among other thing. I feel like by the time you get savvy there and can beat Carlito, you are set and ready for the rest of the game.

I know DR2 fixes a lot of the issues, and I think a lot of DR1 has to do with remembering where stuff is. It's important to know that it's built (for better or worse) for cumulative runs, because your stats carry over after you die.

I said that it tends to have better writing than RAW. The AJ/Nakamura feud was so bad that my girlfriend actually asked me about who won their previous match and I struggled to explain to her who won and what it means and why he doesn't just have the title. It was uncomfortable.

Now if you're of the opinion that Smackdown already has shit writing, then it's just another hour of shit and it shouldn't really matter at that point to you. I don't think it's quite that bad usually, and I tend to enjoy it more (although not so much lately). A lot of the stuff I currently actively dislike is because they are putting their focus on guys like Big Cass that sucks up too much screen time in an already shorter show.

But I would love to see the Iconic Duo doing stuff consistently on Smackdown, and same with Samoa Joe, literally the entire tag team division, and whoever else is on there post-draft that I can't even recall because they don't have enough time to give them anything to do.

That's just my take on it. I'm not actively saying that it will not suck. I think there's a very solid chance it will end up sucking because of the WWE factor. I'm just saying that if done right, it shouldn't make the show suffer.

I don't get why SDL has any faith to not become Raw with a third hour. Maybe if this was years ago when Smackdown was actually good I could at least see where the faith is from, but I'd argue it's becoming closer to Raw tier than not lately and that's with only 2 hours to fill.

Basically, the thought process comes from that they've had way too many people on the roster and to make use of them properly, they need more time each week to do it. You see maybe 1/4 of their roster each week and it doesn't help anyone get more over than maybe the 3-4 people they can push at a time.

Sure, maybe it will end up like RAW where it meanders with nonsense, but we all know the writing on Smackdown tends to be better. If it ends up getting worse, well then it gets worse. But I'll be optimistic because it has a chance not to and I'd rather get to see more of the Smackdown roster since a lot of the people that I personally like are rarely ever all featured.
