I think the Reds last year were the first team to ever have a negative bullpen WAR. Obviously, at -1.3 the Royals have a hell of a lot of work to do to not be the second.

Well that Rockies bullpen sure isn't good! Looking at the fangraphs leaderboard now, the Cards are 25th in reliever WAR and the Rockies are a spot below, but fangraphs pitching WAR is based on FIP instead of runs allowed. The Rockies pen has a 5.75 ERA! That's actually only marginally worse than the Royals at 5.67, and the Royals are at the very bottom in WAR. The Rockies *only* have a 4.46 FIP so they have 0.3 WAR combined and the Royals are at -1.3.

I just gasped as the cards lost on a walkoff two run double. Ozuna lays out to catch a ball and misses and it goes to the wall.

It's good that you didn't continue to engage with that work guy. Sometimes i do that out of politeness and then people think we're friends and that they can some spew their BS at me whenever they want. I guess no one else likes them, so me simply listening without telling them to fuck off is better than they usually get.

I was playing it in the break room that day and then today I just played it at my desk instead to avoid talking to him again. That's the new move for me going forward I guess. Avoid at all costs.

Today at work I got John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt stuck in my head. None of the recent high school graduates had heard of it. It shocked me to my core.

Sometimes I bring my Switch to work to play on my lunch break and on Friday this caused a crazy guy I never talk to tell me all of his video game opinions and they were all terrible, including telling me how stupid the Switch is as I was playing it but the one that has really stuck with me is he said he doesn't like Super Mario 64 because he doesn't like the storyline. Which on its own is inane enough but then he goes "you never even know what happened to the princess!" And I said "yes you do Bowser kidnapped her" and he said "I guess but it never really tells you." And I didn't want to talk to him anymore so I didn't say bitch Toad tells you that the minute you walk through the door.

Oh also he said "There's no motivation for doing anything! (affecting a high voice) Oh Mario I baked a cake for you! The cake is a lie."

Simon was the first playable character but Alucard is playable in their most successful game, Symphony of the Night. Plus he's Dracula's son but he's a good guy which is pretty cool

Yeah I don't know the price difference but I think you're right that the dual joycons are more expensive. They all cost a fortune is the point.

The pro controller is really fantastic but it is pretty expensive. Don't you mostly play on the TV though anyway? I don't know what's best for you but I can strongly endorse the pro controller.

There isn't really anyone I'd like that much at this point because there's so many characters in it already, but I've always wanted to see Phoenix Wright in there and a goofy Waluigi moveset would have been cool. For a third... I'll say a Pokemon Trainer style Link from Majora's Mask so can choose between Deku Scrub, Zora and Goron forms. Then his final smash would be Fierce Deity. That'd be pretty cool.

I just learned Mile High Stadium is called Sports Authority Field at Mile High. That's pretty good.

Jampacks were the shiz. That Legend of Dragoon demo was the bomb. I never played the real game though.

Another classic formative gaming experience that isn't nearly as common anymore: losing your save file. Ever since my Kingdom Hearts file got corrupted pretty deep into the game I've always kept at least two parallel saves in games where I can. And then there was DK 64 which just fully erased everything one day and I never really played it again.

It is up to you. I don't kick myself too hard for spending on games because I don't spend much on entertainment otherwise and I really enjoy it.

Oh hell yes. And if it's a JRPG, you read it and are flabbergasted that the hot girl with big tits is only like 14 years old.

Another inadvertent permatrade: our copy of Donkey Kong Country on GBA for like Street Fighter Alpha 3 or something on GBA. Weird ass port.

We borrowed Mario Tennis on GBC from our cousin and just never gave it back and one time we brought it up to him that we should give it back and he said "oh I borrowed that from my friend and he doesn't care" so we just kept it forever.

That's rough. In 6th grade I lent my friend my copy of Kingdom Hearts and he didn't bring it back until the very last day of school and then I accidentally left it in my bookbag in my locker and never saw it again.

I think this 8 bit Bloodstained is more of a NES style game and the upcoming one is in that Symphony of the Night style.

I'm not a huge fan of the series but I tend to enjoy them. The old school ones aren't that good. The "Metroidvania" style ones are the real winners.

You needed the memory card for Majora's Mask and DK64 but that might have been about it for real stuff. Oh and Perfect Dark. And everyone knows DK64 is pretty whack except for the fact that you played as an orangutan clown.

I have mixed feelings about this. Like MNTwins said FIFA is not up front with costs and are extremely corrupt about things. On the other hand as a soccer fan it would be nice to be able to make it to a World Cup game (I wasn't able to afford tickets to the last one held here).

Well to this I would say, it's happening either way and even though we know that FIFA is the most brazenly corrupt entity in sports (which is saying something) there is nothing you can do but enjoy the benefits of it. So I say plan to go see a footie match and compartmentalize the rest of it.

I don't know about Mexico and Canada but I assume they are both guaranteed in. Apparently it's the first cup to be hosted by more than one country. But 60 of 80 matches will be held in the US.
