A Blarblade with +4 to all stats gains 16 extra attack, while Aura gains 5 bonus attack if near an ally, making the difference 6 in Blarblade's favor. However, Aura's bonus also grants 5 bonus speed, doesn't reduce the special cooldown by one, and can buff mage allies with +6 attack. It's also better in cases where Linde doesn't have an ally around. But keep in mind that Blrblade+ is 4 points stronger than Blrblade. However, some other people do it intentionally to try and get a defense win. The mono colour team will auto lose against most teams but it has a chance to get a kill if it draws a human player who has a slight weakness to that colour. --- This was not the best year for my bracket. That means you should only go for 4*+10 units if you are sure you never want to use them as a 5* unit. Never try and add "+1" leves to 3* or lower units. It would be pretty odd to see a metagame limited to only Gen 1 Pokemon, but it could also be interesting to see some Pokemon shine in a metagame where they would be otherwise irrelevant if there was a larger pool of Pokemon to choose from. It's hard to say. We know very little about the competitive battling aspects of Let's Go. The article says there's no breeding. That means Let's Go would need a replacement system to get Pokemon with the IVs you want. There are no wild Pokemon. That means Let's Go needs a way for Pokemon to get EVs. Gen 1 Pokemon + Alolan formes only is also fairly restrictive. I suspect they will try to force it and have VGC played under Let's Go even if it isn't really that great an idea. --- This was not the best year for my bracket. | Team Rocket Elite 05/30/18 8:30:31 PM #363 | You can merge two of the exact same character. You choose one version to keep and one version to get rid of. If the version you get rid of is the same rarity or higher, the unit you keep gets a "+1" level. Each "+1" is worth 2 stat points and you can reach a maximum of "+10". So a 5*+10 unit will have 20 more stat points overall than a 5*+0. The stats are distributed evenly so a +10 unit will have 4 more stat points in each stat. When you merge two characters, the character you keep gains all of the skills of the character you lose. Units with "+1" level are also worth more points in the arena. So a top ranking arena team will be made of 5*+10 units. By exact same character I mean you can merge two "Lyn: Brave Lady" together but you can't merge "Lyn: Brave Lady" and "Lyn: Lady of the Plains" even though both are Lyn. When I say "same rarity or higher" I mean you can merge a 5* unit into a 4* unit to get a 4*+1 unit. There are actually some cases where you want to do this but it's rare. You can merge a 4* unit into a 5* unit but you won't get a "+1" level. You only get some SP. --- This was not the best year for my bracket. The Bulbasaur in the trailer is Lv18 with 44HP. That's IV0 and 0EVs. Pikachu is Lv18 with either 46 or 48HP. If it is 46, that's IV31 with 0EVs. Both Pokemon have empty exp bars which means they were likely created just before the battle for the trailer.
