The TL;DR version is that this university used to have a "day of absence" once a year where minority students wouldn't show up to class, much like the "day without immigrants" that certain cities will have. Well one year someone had the bright idea of instead of minority students choosing not to go to class, they were now saying that it should be flipped and white people were going to be banned from going to class, students and faculty as well. Weirnstein called this out for the racism that it is, and he was then protested by a group of idiots. The story gets worse from there, but ill let you look that up if you wish.

But that's just how I learned about this man. But since then, he's built abdecent following and has been giving lectures all over the country and online as well, and is part of the so called ,IDW or "Intellectual Dark Web" that also includes people like Sam Harris and Jordan Peterson. But being a pretty far leftist himself, it's very enlightening to hear him highlight all of the flaws that the left has. It's usually useless to hear what's wrong from the left from people on the right because they obviously disagree with almost everything and always throw the baby out with the bathwater.

So for anyone else who is a leftist like I am but is trying to steel the self against the pitfalls of liberalism, I highly recommend you look him up and listen to a few of his lectures, they're absolutely brilliant. And he's got some genius lectures that have nothing to do with politics as well, he's a legitimate genius.
