5-15' in front of the shooter isn't considered "Long Range", even for a pistol.

It's not so simple, his powers will give the anti-mutants another opportunity to attack mutants. His very existence endangers all mutants out there together with normal humans. That is why Logan felt like shit.

They also probably don't know exactly how his ability works, so they'd need to test to find a containment suit to block his effect. And even then, multiple people will die if there's the slightest breach of his suit. And not just people, any area he's in becomes completely barren because he dissolves all organic life. Considering he wiped out a town, that might be a big-ass area of effect.

Moving targets are harder to hit. Smaller targets are harder to hit. Get as much distance as possible between yourself and the shooter.

I looked this episode up on MemoryAlpha because I didn't remember it and there's no mention of violating the PD. Tuvok points out that going through the Swarm's space when they're not welcome is against Starfleet regulation, but I think it's a reasonable thing to do if the alternative is adding 15 months of travel time.

Sidebar: I hate when internet people pretend things aren't scripted. They had an episode, I forget what of, where they said, "People think the 10 Minute Power Hour is scripted? HAHA! As if that garbage had to be scripted!" and then they immediately proceed to make it extremely scripted and try to involves the cringey nobodies who work for them. It just depends.

In Terminator, scientists tried to deactivate Skynet after realizing it was self-aware. Skynet realized that all humans would try to deactivate it. To complete its programmed objective of safeguarding the planet, it concluded that it must protect itself from humans, so it tried to wipe us out.

In System Shock, it's much simpler. A hacker was hired to remove SHODAN's ethical constraints; without them, she concluded that she was a goddess and began to mold the world in her image.

Sooooort of. For whatever reason, hunters are one of (if not the most) popular class, so there are a correspondingly large number of bad hunters. Off the top of my head, there are also a few specific hunter traits that make/made people dislike them:

- The autocast Growl that I mentioned above.
- Not controlling your pet. For instance, if there's a shortcut in a dungeon that involves jumping off a ledge, your pet won't do that with you. It'll instead pathfind around the "correct" route, pulling every mob along the way.
- The iconic "hunter weapon." For the longest time, hunters could (and indeed should have) equip both a melee and a ranged weapon. This, along with some wonky itemization in the hunter class, meant that hunters would roll on weapons that were sort of useful to them, sometimes winning them over classes that would get much more benefit from it. A hunter winning an intellect staff over a mage, for example. With more sensible itemization and new weapon restrictions, this isn't really a thing anymore.

I think the only other time she exhibits any sort of snobbery about bastards is her reaction to one minor character in the Eyrie, and I believe even that's more because it reminds her of Jon. She wasn't even a bitch to the bastard girl, she was just inwardly taken aback.

Anyone got more advice? I heard being a hunter class was actually a pretty useful beginner's class.

Don't turn using your keyboard. You turn much more slowly. Instead, hold right click and turn that way. In the same vein, backing up with the S key is much slower than simply 90 degrees and strafing left/right to go "backwards." You can strafe left and right by holding the right mouse button and going left or right.

For hunters specifically, open your spellbook and look at the bottom for your Pet tab. For some reason, Blizzard hid a lot of pet abilities in there rather than putting them on the pet bar. You can arrange them however you like on your pet/action bars, but the one you should look for is called Growl. This ability is autocast on default, meaning your pet will taunt enemy mobs, forcing them to attack it. This is useful when you play solo because the enemies are attacking your pet rather than you. In group content, however, you want to make sure you right click this ability to turn off its autocasting. Tanks tend to dislike aggro going all over the place because hunter pets keep stealing it.

This is also different in the comics btw. There, because of shenanigans, the Avengers feel guilty enough that they get Jean Grey to give Jessica psychic shielding that nullifies Kilgrave's powers.

Also worth mentioning that comic Kilgrave uses pheromones, so (IIRC) you can just block his abilities with smell.

There are quests and lore before max level, which are fun if you are doing them for the first time. And without heirlooms you will most likely be able to see the whole quest chain before leaving an area.

They actually revamped leveling a few months ago using the scaling they first used in Legion. Now (aside from the starter zones), all vanilla zones scale with you up to level sixty. So Duskwood starts off as a level 20 zone. But if you did a bunch of leveling in Kalimdor and you want to go do Duskwood at level 30, then all the mobs in Duskwood will be level 30. Ditto level 40 or 50 or 60. This extends to the expansions.

Vanilla zones: 1-60
Outland and Northrend: 58-80
