I recently jumped from a job to studying (engineering) <---- hard summer course, so might be part of my question

I had a real low energy level back when i was a elevator constructor/service man. At the end i really did not like my profession, so... Well, yeah. I think my energy level represented that... i felt tired all the time, no matter how much i slept

Here's the thing: Im now studying, and i kinda feel like got the hours under control. Sleep at 11pm wake up at 6am. (I start one hour later, but im used to waking up at 6am, but now i just use the time to relax with breakfast, instead of eating in the car etc xD)
(I feel much better in general btw)
But tonight i drank some wine with my father and discussed way too long, haha :P

Long story short... 6 hours later im still feel awake :O

When in normal "mode", i kinda have a pretty low energy/sleep level. I have psoriasis (not heavy) so its normal for "us" to get more tired by ... whatever -stress etc.

So what keeps me less tired than i should be, at this point? Why am i not sleepy? :O

Ive walked out on a girl before and she tried to stop me by blocking the door. Im guessing i would have been in jail if i hit her. (it had nothing to do with nude pics or anything like that though. Both were drunk and only yelling was involved)

She is a professional fighter, i doubt she felt threatened, she waited for him so that she could storm out after.

Violence in general is not good, man on woman violence is often much worse, because of the strength difference, but im not sure if this is the type of thing one should be defending. From those quotes, it looked like he didnt fight back and she is a fighter... that matters.

If the exact same text was written by Rondas ex, would you defend that? If i read it as if a man did that, it looks a lot worse, to me at least

I think its more that top level sports isnt something you can just do because you want to... for most people

He sounds pretty serious about wanting to get a win, but even low lvl UFC looks too hard. Imagine the level of the top guys!

Well....

What does being fake mean? To me it means compromising your own values (fex in the pursuit of something)

Being good at being fake seems like playing a game. How can you then trust that people arent the same thing? How can you trust that your friends arent playing you by saying you are good at playing?

Why not just put more worth into honesty?

I mean, whatever floats your boat. Im guessing that when it fails, you have less people to be around than if you were "keeping it real" -whatever that means to you :P

I have gotten this "Manage Settings" tab on the lower left of the screen. When i press it i get this screen about CBS Interactive cookies etc. At the end of that page is Evidon named as a privacy tool

I visited a site that wanted me to accept cookies (not porn. MMA, but for some of you, thats just gay porn -.-)
The screen appeared again when i entered gamefaqs and i tried to get rid of it, but in the end it managed to make me press ok (normally i just ignore it). Now im wondering what it is.

When i enter gamefaqs i have this "tab" at the lower left part of the screen, right above the windows flag. Ive tried googling it, but i .... well. Do you guys, who are chrome users, have it?

This. Talk to the police and or get a lawyer (not sure how it works in your country). Dont sign anything from someone who is hired against you. If anything, im happy that a psychologist gets screen time in mainstream media. It will probably give rise to better arguments that isnt based on simple lables - i hope :P

I dont think i got any videos by him before i actually searched for him after listening to Joe Rogan (maybe a month after he did the second podcast with him, i missed the first one for some reason)

I got a lot of Hitchen after i gave Reza and Sam Harris a listen, so i think the algorythm does something right, haha :P + i get a lot of of political humor from "the left" Colbert, Maher etc. - so they basically have me pinned xD

Joseph LeDoux's popsci book on fear ("The Emotional Brain") is a decent read, accessible and actually portrays the science well.

Im not the greatest reader, unfortunately. When i read books, its because of prolounged exposure to a personality i enjoy. And even then, i feel like the writer tries to convince me instead of informing me. Ive bought Jordan Petersons book and i dont think that will be any different.
I read Dawkins' The God Delusion and although it was super fascinating, and has good arguements, i just think that its a book that tries to convince you that faith is illogical to the point of (almost) insanity, not that it just challenges the views from a neutral point of view

Hard to explain for me, in a part because im not a native English speaker, but also because faith makes both sense and not for me >_< haha :P

Is there some kind of video that explains this book? (it does sound interesting) I use way too long to decide to read a book to say that i will give it a fair chance to read it :/

I almost consider myself a "SJW" but Omega Hunter posted...

I think he is one of the worlds great thinkers and i honestly value his views on any given subject more then anyone else on earth. I read his book and found that i had already figured 90% of that out on my own and have lived that way. Im also very successful and respected in my social and professional circles, not a coincidence.

His basic advice:

Pick a load and lift it. Life's value comes in taking on responsibility.

Clean up your own room first.

Stand tall with your back straight and your head high.

Have the courage to tell the truth or at least dont lie.

Jordan Peterson gets it when it comes to life.

His views about lies is what i really like about him.

That quote sounds really bad without context, i believe. Its in the discussion about what is/should be allowed in the workplace and the rules generated after incidents by people who dont conduct themselves professionally. I heard that interview and i didnt get the impression that that was his thoughts at least, it was more about all the problems that are being talked about of women being treated unfairly in the workplace and what solutions he sees and that was just an idea that maybe should be discussed. It wasnt his answer, i think. Thats how i understood it, at least

Politically im almost on the opposite side, im an atheist/agnostic. Yeah, yeah, i know... short answer: I find it fascinating and i can see its uses, but personally i have no faith and i dont believe in anything greater/more than life. Still i love the debates that that are almost faith vs atheism

But his views on how these stories have survived for so long really speaks to me and i think he is really interesting to listen to. His appearances on Joe Rogan (where i got introduced to him) are really great IMO

I find it interesting that he doesnt consider himself an intellectual and its not his thoughts that brought him into mainstream media, but... i guess more "luck" and his stance on a reform in Canadian law. Which makes me wonder if he is anything special as far as psychotherapists go?

He also references Jung a lot, which i have only a surface-level understanding of (like just read small texts from google links). How miuch "greater" was Jung for example?

When i agree with him, it often makes my arguments stronger. When im not, he speaks to me in a way that makes me think. So thats my view on him

He also have a voice similar to Bob Odenkirk IMO :P Which threw me off a little the first time i listened to him, haha

Soooo.... what are your thoughts? Like him, hate him, indefferent? Why, why not?

I'll take your word for it. I've always wanted to play this but have just never gotten around to dicking with SCUMM.

Then you can try it out now :) It still uses SCUMM, but its integrated in a way that makes you not notice it. The game is just as responsive as if without it.

The game uses F1 to bring up the Menu, not Esc. Took me a little time to figure out, since i also have to hold the "FN" -button for F1 to be F1 and not the "Help"-button, which brings up some Windows 10 help page

Just in case you end up checking it out and run into the same problem ;)

I had so much fun with this game when i was younger. I tried replaying it on Windows XP, but i needed a SCUMM software to run it. What happened when i used that program, is that when i pressed a dialogue option, it often took 2-3-4 second before they started talking :O So i quit the game pretty early on and hoped for a re-release

Now its here! :D It seems to be using SCUMM this time too (a SCUMM-picture appeared for about a second when i launched it), but the game doesnt have that input delay!

Im off to battle Le-Chuck again! And im so looking forward to insult sword fighting xD

Im watching the beginning of RE:Vendetta right now and im like: WTF?

I only played RE 1-4, just didnt give 5 a good chance and i heard 6 was an action movie -.-

I paused now about a few monthers after the zombie answered Yeah when asked about his name.
Im sorry... what kind of virus is this? Seems right in the middle of T and some keep the thoughts intact-thing?
It doesnt look like the plaga, unless its completel new symptoms from RE4 or the second RE movie (did anyone like that one? If they did, please make me understand :) i didnt feel it worked as RE or an action movie :O )

Im not going to check this topic until im done with the movie, so spoil all you want (topic marked spoilers)

But what kind of zombies do you prefer?

I think the "RE2" zombies are the best. It just makes more sense to me that they are simple and with very limited brain function. I think its so weird when zombies can sprint towards you, but then, 1 meter from you, they need to slow down their actions (trailers from RE 5 bothered me with this -.-) i also thought it was weird with RE 4, but i ended up enjoying that game, so maybe RE 5 isnt that bad? =P

I have not yet played the RE1 Remake. I have downloaded it and its on my list :P
