Just summoned using orbs for the first time in forever and after 100 orbs, got my Summer Micaiah. And as if to answer my complaint about my previous one having the most useless boon possible as +Spd/-Def, this one's +Def/-Spd. I can't even be mad about that.

Damn, the min-maxing is real. That's ridiculously good for a dancer. My OG Micaiah is +Spd/-Def (31 Speed) and I don't think her speed has ever been a relevant stat to any combat she's taken part in, let alone her boon making a difference. She's a one-shot-or-naught type of hero.

I already thought the FEH Channel was pretty garbage, and this event is even worse than I thought. Things like supports between units were pretty cool since they have strategic consequences, but it looks like with all the focus on irrelevant nontent like accessories and these "support conversations" that they're just doubling down on appealing to the waifu warriors out there. There's really nothing attainable left for me to chase anyway.

Green was too good for me to pass on, even though I don't have a HUGE need for Steady Breath right now and I get the feeling it may get totally outclassed sooner rather than later. Blew a good 250 to get a +Def/-Res L!Hector and 3 B!Ikes.

I honestly was hoping for Myrrh merges moreso and I really don't need yet another Axe Armor, but at least the IVs aren't horrid for the Hector (even if Res is a superbane for him). I think with having his Tactics Pulse C Skill, he'll make experimenting with a more dedicated mixed Armor/Flier team worth trying, especially with all the Flying Formation/Guidance skills, seals and weapon refines they keep pushing right now.

Yeah, I mean there's usually some specific counter that I'll run out of during an AA just when something pops up more than usual, but pulling effectively has no point for me 'cause of this. The most I get from getting a random one-of is just a unit with a better base kit/stat line than the units I pulled a year back had, but I've built most of those older units in some way to make them usable anyway.

I don't know if I'll ever save up quite as much as TRE did here, but there isn't much that'll make me pull these days anyway since most banners might as well not exist to me, and particularly not seasonal banners. I would love to get another flying mage and Nino would've been a nice one to get, but I'll wait until at least post-CYL since if there's any 5* exclusives I'm going to want to try and collect all of and maybe get a merge-or-two of, that's probably going to be the best banner for it.

I'll have to try the flier emblem strat. I've been trying my cheese B!Lyn, Rein, V!Roy, P!Azura comp, but I can't safely initiate on and kill enough of the units before being converged on thanks to so many being ranged and being vanguarded by that damn green armor. And trying an enemy phase strat with my +5 A!Tiki and Nowi ain't gettin me anywhere either; I can only bait and kill so many per turn without bad matchups that end my units.

Free summoned a +Def/-Res Fjorm, and then continued summoning Blue for 250 orbs to get Hardins and Fjorms. So, now I have a neutral Christmas Chrom, and 4 Christmas Robins (2 +Res/-Spd, +Atk/-Res, +Def/-Res).

Finally made T20 for my first time this month, woot.

Banner's a bit disappointing. Blue seems good at least. W!Robin's at least Armor March fodder, Hardin is fantastic, and everyone can use more Fjorm merges. Don't see much of a reason to ever pull for Ryoma though, unless he has really good BST.

God damn TRE, how do you get to T25 with auto-battling with freaking 7 lances left? Are you auto-battling on max difficulty (and somehow getting fortress damage)? Even with a couple manual runs for safety, I still could've had a maximum of maybe 2-3 extra lances while still making T25.

I mean, it's not like demotions are that uncommon as of late. We had Shigure and Nanna from last month, MorganM in March, L'Arachel from February, Sothe from January, and Soleil from December. Beside the seasonal banners, Fallen Heroes has been the only real big exception as far as units being demoted.

And skillwise, Shigure gave us Wo Lance and 4* Ward Fliers, Nanna gave us Restore+ and a 4* non-limited Drive Def 2, etc. Like obviously nothing quite on the scale as if we'd gotten 4* Vengeful or Bold Fighter, but we ain't being completely snubbed here. As much as I'd like to have real access to being able to make diverse skill builds without throwing down a couple hundred a month...

Dumbest part about Grand Conquest is that the best way to score usually doesn't actually involve helping your army. Like, in VG you're not always being incredibly helpful to your team, but at least you're still making points for your team one way or another. In GC, each battle is actively more difficult for me if I choose to fight in a non-bonus area, and I'm likely to get less points as such, particularly if I'm auto-battling. Last time, I almost missed out on T25 and had to manually control a bunch of fights because I went with areas where my army needed points to win the area. This time, I'm going to make it to T25 no-sweat because all I'm doing is spam auto-battling on areas that provide multiple buffs to a unit type and even the AI can take Lunatic forts with those buffs.

Another set of mages with cool skill ideas and unique tomes! Lower-ceiling Atk/Speed-only versions of Owltomes with no refinability but much easier activation conditions are neat. They're solid sidegrades to the Owltomes, but Prf. Cool gimmicks as far as Def/Res Link 3 and Spd Feint 3 go, though I don't know how viable they are. Def/Res Link 3 I think is more useful since movement assist skills are widely used as part of common kits, and it has fairly good synergy with how reposition is commonly used to protect weaker units. Being a B skill hurts it a lot though since your unit now can't run a skill like a breaker or desperation, heavily limiting their actual combat utility just to apply a buff for safer baiting. Which, I tend to think is an issue when so many of the units you might be targeting are DC melee units.

Spd Feint on the other hand I think is way too specialized. If you're using normal buffs at all, you're usually either running an emblem and probably have Hone and maybe Ward skills up already, or if you're running a mixed comp, there's a decent chance you're using the increasingly common Tactic C skills. I mostly see rallies being used to manipulate AI on defensive teams and/or just for score on T20 arena teams as opposed to actually buffing. Which, is a long way of me saying that Rally Assists aren't very commonly used for the most part, which means you're probably having to sacrifice a more useful Movement Assist to be able to use this. And then, you sacrifice the rallying unit's attack to be able to decrease Speed by 7 in cardinal directions.

Compared to a Ploy skill, you're taking the B slot instead of C slot, occupying your Assist skill slot with a Rally as opposed to having a stat requirement, and getting to line things up and activate the debuff during your turn (albeit while losing the Rally unit's ability to attack) instead of having to line things up then wait for the turn to begin to activate it. And you also debuff more. But compared to a Chill skill, you're being forced to use a Rally Assist, you have to be able to get into the right position, and you have to use your unit's action for the turn, in exchange for theoretically being able to hit multiple units and/or hit units besides the one with the highest stat. Which I really don't think is worth it, because I feel like the majority of the time, the unit with the highest speed is the one you want to debuff anyway.

As for Ninian's skills, the only inheritable weapon of the banner is nice, although probably not something you'll be inheriting off anytime soon unless you really want to buff speed. It's nice that the buff actually affects her too, at least. She's definitely very speed buff-oriented. It is awkward though since it's only a +4, so it doesn't get you as far as a Hone or Tactic buff would. Sure, she has Drive Speed, but she's still only getting you just slightly farther than a standalone max buff would even with her combat buff. I feel like her tome's utility is going to be redundant with whatever you end up finishing building her with.

Chill Atk is nice to have, but feels like it's probably the least relevant possible Chill skill to have on a dancer, since a dancer's usually more preoccupied with offensive buffs and debuffs, and Escape Route/WoM are much more relevant B-slots. I'd really love to have the skill to fodder away to have more of a chance to neuter some of the worst arena cancer I see (https://imgur.com/jFRfQ7t), but I sure as hell ain't foddering a seasonal dancing mage for just a niche skill option. I really would love to see accessible Chill skills though. They're something fairly situational that make it hard to justify pulling for 5* exclusives just to get the skills to mess around with, but I'd be more than willing to promote 4* pulls to fodder them for Chills if that were made available.

Pretty fun GHB. Don't really feel like there's a super obvious "just cheese with horses/fliers" or "just stack wards on armor" answer to it. Reinforcements are pretty reasonable; they seem to spawn only as you beat down the original force, i.e. I got slammed with like 7 reinforcements in one turn when I killed almost all of the original force that turn, but if you're just chipping away one at a time, they'll spawn at a more reasonable rate. Enemy force is just infantry and an armor late. Beat it with Ref'd Lilina, Ref'd Felicia, P!Azura and Genny.

I finally leveled my Peri today and the voice lines definitely stood out. I don't know if it's just because older characters mostly didn't have voice acting so there's less pressure to adhere to a certain voice or if it's just because Fateswakening are newer and have more exaggerated anime casts, but I feel like a lot of the characters from older games really don't have particularly distinctive of voices. Like, a lot of them can blend together a lot more easily than that of some of the characters from the newer games that have particular quirks to how they speak.

I really can't justify pulling on this banner. Lene fills a niche I already have covered (and is likely to get demoted), I already have no use for my existing Red Cavalry no matter how good they are, and I already have six solid Blue Mages.

Kinda miss not being done with PvE content and not having pretty much every role filled with backups to spare. It's left me at a point where my only progression comes from merges and some select skill inheritances (Aether/Galeforce, DC, Wrath) for the sake of progressing toward finally hitting T20. Unless there's a truly unique role filled by a completely new banner unit, or the unit is a high BST armor/dragon, there's no point to me pulling on a new unit banner. Even if I "whale" within my means for doing so, pulling enough just to get a +2 of a random new unit gets me absolutely nowhere except further away from progression when a more relevant banner inevitably pops up.

Got a Neutral Hinoka about 30 orbs in. About time, given it's the first banner in forever I haven't had to drop 150+ orbs on to get a single thing I wanted. Not spending those on the Legendary banner though, as much as I'd like and could use merges, I think I'll save for merges I actually want.

Last round was easy mode for Sharena since she had an easily defensible area with favorable chokepoints that stood in front of a substantial amount of her ground. Now, you have Sharena and Alfonse incredibly close, with Anna off in her own corner so Alfonse inevitably will get a token share of the areas, with Anna getting the rest and Sharena in pema-poverty.

Red and colorless are both great pulls here. I'm definitely going hard on this one, I wanted H!Nowi so bad, would love Lady Grima, and I'd be totally down for Zelgius, BLyn merges or Warding Breath fodder too.

I put the first DC fodder I got on my Joshua for the sake of having a high-res physical counter for mages, which I was sorely lacking at the time. I kinda regretted it for a while since I realized I had very little use for him in that niche still, but he's finally started being a lot more useful recently, since shittons of Julias and Deirdres have bizarrely started popping up in AA for me.

These units have such cool amalgamations of skills on them, but just not quite any kits that are must-have. Finally getting Wo Axe and Wo Dagger is nice (even if it's incredibly dumb that they're seasonal), but the other Egg weapons are kinda awkward even if good. They're aimed at neutering enemy glass cannons, but then you have Catria decreasing Atk/Def with her weapon based off the foe with the lowest Res and then inflicting -Res on the unit with the highest Res, so throwing a bunch of debuffs around in general that will guaranteed end up on different units and may or may not be useful. Sharena at least has an amazing Rally, but I'd also love Res Tactic, and Swift Stance is awkward. I get the feeling Speed/Res bond on Kagero will end up being the same deal, and everyone who pulls her will just be wishing they had LA Lyn fodder to get Spd/Res bond instead (or just going L&D3 eventually).

IS seems to have decided that Ploys aren't good enough and are too hard to use based on how little they're used and decided to give us better, automatically targeting debuffs instead. Which is okay I guess, but silly too since I feel like a lot of the lack of Ploy use is just lack of availability, since they'd definitely be used more if available with how C skill slots end up being perpetual filler on any non-Emblem unit. Even when they feel worth the 20k feathers to get a maxed version, you can't really get much for fodder for C Skills whether you want Smokes, Ploys or Pulses.

Damn, I had a pretty bad streak of pulling nothing but +Spd/-Atk Brave Lancers, but that's a LOT of bad attack IVs. Pretty potential neutering for the Lucina, Sanaki, Athena, Lyn, Lilina, Chrom, and L'Arachel. Though I mean, ain't like you're seriously gonna be trying to use half those units anyway. And Lyn you can at least run as a speedy Blade Tome user since +Spd is actually pretty good on her, and you won't even notice the attack loss with all the buffs. Sucks if you didn't want to use that build though.

Ah yeah that makes more sense, I'd definitely do a Hinoka/Nowi pairing if I'm able to finally get H!Nowi on whatever Legendary banner she pops up on next.

Super glad the TT bonus is free too, because I did not want to pull on this banner. It'll be my first TT not having a 40% from the start, but I can get by with my Olivia and Cherche until I pick up at least the 4* Gerome.

Hinoka's refine is only for Flying and Infantry, no armor =/ I don't know if I want to spend my 200 Dew on my Hinoka that way either, even at +1 and assuming she's got her Spear buff active, she's at 55/37 offenses which is okay but not super amazing, and her defenses are awful, which is my flier emblem's bigger weakness. Plus, it means kicking out my Myrrh and leaving me with only Airzura for Green, or kicking out my Palla and making me super vulnerable to Greens. Not to mention support-wise being a bit redundant with my Airzura/S!Corrin Flier core.

Granted, I don't know what else I want to use the Dew on; I have an okay Soren, a good Eirika and a good Raven, and then a -Atk +Res trash Alm, none of which I'm sure I want to invest in, but there's no harm in saving it anyway.

I have every bonus unit except the 3 banner units, I just don't ever use any of them since they're mostly specialized counter-units or just kinda meh. Not sure if I'll just splash one into my Armor comp and keep running it (even though none of them are great in it), or if I'll just go Horses and suck up the trash arena score.

Wouldn't be pulling for Greens without getting more 5* Blues than Greens, despite pulling Blues only when there were literally no Greens to pull. T_T Brought home a Gunnthra merge, a S!Corrin merge, and a +HP/-Atk Ephraim on 150 orbs.

I'd love to pull for the new Ephraim but unless he has a godly statline, I dunno how I'd use him. He should be good at running into enemies and killing, but I feel like that tactic won't work great against enemies in modes for content that matters like Arena and Chain Challenge. And if he's just ultimately baiting/tanking, my Sigurd already does that and better, thanks to his abilities that let him survive potential OHKOs, while this dude doesn't even have DC to be able to defensively respond and proc Sol/Solar Brace.

I'd pull Red for fodder/merges, but Tomato Leo is there. Blue's tempting, but I'll probably stick green to get IP3 and Steady Breath fodder, and worst case scenario Gunnthra merges.
