No, that's basically cheating.

In my defence, when I play like this it isn't so that I can loot 500 armors and sell them all. By the time I switch this on I'm usually more than comfortable money wise, it's just I can be indecisive about what to keep for my character so it's more to reduce my stress level by not having to think about it.

I do in all the Bethesda games generally. I always start the first 10 hours or whatever vanilla but after a while it just gets so tedious.

I almost did it in Witcher 3 too but after they patched alchemy ingredient weight to almost nothing, it became far more managable so I left it.

Isn't there only the one pilot at these locations that can fly the chopper? You need to spot him (IIRC he's wearing goggles or a helmet or something) then take him out first and you should be okay.

I haven't played it very much though, so it might not be that simple later on.

Hank is a good and thoughtful person.

IMO, he never hated androids. He got super fucking angry at the one that didn't save his son, and maybe even convinced himself all androids are pieces of shit. But, Hank is a good person and being 1-on-1 with Connor, who he very quickly realizes is more than just a machine snaps him out of the haze he's in.

3D: Ocarina of Time = Wind Waker > Majora's Mask = Breath of the Wild > Twilight Princess > Skyward Sword.

Majora's Mask is only less than OoT and Wind Waker because I find the time reversal tedious as balls. The way that mechanic clicks with the rest of the game is phenomenal so it's not even really a critique of the game, I just get personally irritated/anxious from it.

BotW was great but the lack of true dungeons was sorely felt, the bosses had no real variety and the inventory management was a PITA whether or not you mind the durability aspect. Story was mostly shallow and had one of the least satisfying endings I think I've ever experienced (They really can do better, WW and SS were both more interesting).

TP was solid mechanically but felt too empty and charmless a lot of the time. Midna kinda carried the game story-wise. I loved Zant until the reveal.

SS, in spite of the awesome dungeons, bosses and a real attempt at story, had a shitty shitty overworld, an obnoxious "helper" in Fi (who is actually as bad as people claim Navi to be) and terrible controls that puts it below the rest. It was also very unpolished for a Zelda game, felt outsourced.

EDIT: Uh, forgot 2D but IIRC the only one I've played to completion was Phantom Hourglass so wouldn't be much help anyway. I've tried all the others except for ALBW but never really put the time into them to get far, they just don't hook me the same way.

Nier Automata works well because it takes advantage of the video game medium.

I don't think it would hold up as well as a movie.

Exactly this.

It's the same for games like Life is Strange, you take the interactivity and decision making away from the consumer and the whole experience becomes less intimate and impactful because it no longer involves you, you're just an observer as opposed to an agent of change. Movie versions of these titles would only ever play second-fiddle -- more for non-gamers than anyone who had actually played it themselves.

There's a bit of nuance to this scene depending how deep you wanna go.

Up until this point Spike and Buffy had been having very rough sex, including violent foreplay, there had even been times when they both said "no" but carried on anyway. I'm not sure Spike realized it was different this time until it was too late and even if he did, he's soulless and not much more than a monster (literally a demon).

That's not an attempt to excuse him or blame Buffy but rather defending the scene as it's not out of character for Spike and it becomes the motivator for him getting his soul back which puts him on a very cool redemption arc.

It is a disturbing scene though, very uncomfortable whenever I've watched it.

Might be time to ditch Sonic Team and outsource 3D Sonic because they've been struggling to make a decent game since SA2. Sonic Team like to say they won't do Adventure 3 because they're focusing on the "future" of Sonic or whatever but my thought is that they know they wouldn't be able to pull it off and they can't afford to fuck that one up so they just won't try.

Sonic has been bad to mediocre for so long that something needs to change, like the topic alludes to, it's amazing the franchise is even still relevant at this point.

If the Mass Effect trilogy was a blockbuster, Andromeda was kinda the straight to DVD sequel; it gives you everything you liked about the former but never really hits the same highs and the quality is noticeably less.

The open-world aspect was unnecessary, absolutely a great idea and ambition for the franchise but only if it was done right and Andromeda's take on open-world very quickly turns into a shit load of busy-work with nothing interesting to keep you engaged.

I enjoyed the game overall but it wasn't as good as it should have been and I probably only liked it as much as I did because I have a lot of love for the Mass Effect universe (and space-opera sci-fi in general).

P.S. The multiplayer was a complete fucking mess from launch even to now, though. Absolute clusterfuck of lag, bugs and poor design decisions.

EDIT: I do wanna add though that the gameplay was solid, the added mobility compared to previous entries was a welcome addition and the powers and guns were all good fun to use (in the singleplayer).

Nah, I think omitting it was entirely stupid.

It's especially dumb now because Disney is counting the spin-offs as canon anyway and for the last however many years we've had videogames with the opening crawl and even the canon Clone Wars movie had it (IIRC?) so... What's the point?

Kinda too late now, though. It's not a huge deal I just don't think it ever really made any sense and it always felt more like Star Wars with than without.

I used to turn it, film grain and depth of field off for most games but after a while I got to the point where I just stopped caring. I figure the game is visually built around those things being switched on so you're probably muting the artistic style in some ways.

Obviously for multiplayer games that shit is off, though.

An Adventure Mode similar to Melee's would be nice too.

I've always dreamed of an Adventure Mode that was slightly more curated to each character. For example, Mario's final fight would be a buffed up Bowser with Wario and the Koopalings as sub-bosses and various mooks to platform past (Goombas, Koopa Troopers etc...) along the way. Obviously this wouldn't be as snug a fit for each character but I'm sure they could make do with what they have. The narrative could be strung together by screenshots taken in-game with some brief captions.

I'd die.

But if it's quicker to port the ones we're already used to while adding a couple fresh ones, I'd rather they do that.
