I did not see the AR-15A4 at Colt's SHOT Show booth this year so I don't think they make them. FN make some good one and they have the military contract right now. The Springfield Saint is probably best value. Complete_Idi0t posted...
The primary reason that people get upset about them is that they leave cartridges all over the place when fired, and littering is wrong.

YHM-125 billet lower
YHM-110 billet upper
YHM-5325 mid-length handguard
Faxon Match Series Flame-Fluted barrel, 16" 5.56/.223
Faxon Gunner Lightweight BCG
Elftmann Tactical ELF Match trigger
VG6 Epsilon muzzle brake
Hogue grip
Daniel Defense stock
Vortex Spitfire 3x prism scope

Awesome build

The only difference between a standard military issue M4/M16 and the civilian AR-15 is the removal of the 3-round burst feature.

It's more accurate to say the removal of full auto capabilities, most AR 15 variants are full auto. Also, most people consider three round burst full auto.

Colt's and Armalite's patents have expired and many different companies are making rifles and parts for all different purposes. Some examples are hunting, competition, and precision shooting. Many the barrels, gas blocks, rails, sights, BCGs, triggers, grips, magazines, buffers, and stocks are different to lend themselves to the desired purpose.

So how is the AR-15 legal considering fully automatic guns have been banned since 1986?

The civilian AR-15s are only semi automatic (I.E one shot per trigger pull). My point was that the civilian ones are not functionally different than any other semi auto hunting or ranch rifle.

The AR-15 is a flintlock assault shotgun fitted with a laser scope, a blunderbus barrel with silencer and grenade launcher (which can n swapped out for a flamethrower). It uses chain-fed 350-caliber ammunition and can fire up to 9006 rounds per nanosecond. It is legal to own and open-carry literally everywhere in the entire world except Florida.

The flame thrower is actually a misconception. It is the the gun shooting Magnesium ammo. Many people think the grenade launcher is being swaped out, but it's not.

The kind that civilians can buy legally are only available in semi-automatic (or bolt-action if that's what you prefer).

Polymer or metallic barrel shrouds serve the exact same purpose that classic wooden gun stocks do: so you can hold the rifle with both hands and not need an oven mitt to continue to hold it after the first shot.

Pistol grips are specifically designed to encourage holding the gun at eye-level and not for "spray firing from the hip."

Lately there have been a lot of topics discussing firearms here and it seems like hardly anyone has an idea what they are talking about. So, I am making this topic for people to ask me any questions retaining to the mechanics, uses, or laws US laws about firearms. I am intending for this topic to be for people who don't know a lot about firearms but you can ask any level of questions here, all the way from beginner/ no knowledge to advance. Try to keep political opinions out of this topic, I don't want one of CE mind blowing political discussions going on here.

So, who am I and why the fuck would you ask me questions about firearms?
I am not quite an "expert" but I am very knowledgeable about firearms. I grew up hunting and have been around firearms my whole life. I was in the Marine Corps. I am currently working on a degree in Gunsmithing. I have built four custom rIfels, three bolt actions and one AR. By built I mean I did the machining on them, not that I slapped some parts together. I have multiple Armorer certifications including: Full auto AR15/M16, full auto AK47/M/74, PKM, and AR10, and I will be doing a M&P course on Tuesday. I am also an extremely armature USPSA shooter Competitive pistol shooting.

Any firearms related questions anyone may have please ask the here. If I do not know the answer to a question I will let you know. I will not give a bullshit answer or look it up on a gun forum.

AKs have a much lower bolt travel speed and would be open longer than an AR to allow the wildlife to get inside the weapon. Not to mention there is gap between the dust cover and the receiver.

In the video, they cleaned the gun off first to get it to work. The firearm was completely locked up at the end of the test.
