I'm not going to fault you for your fandom just not overlapping with a guy's best stuff. I have very few feelings about Shawn Michaels because I first watched wrestling during his hiatus, stopped watching before he came back, and starting watching again after he retired. And clearly we're in the part of the list where you like everyone a lot and have to differentiate them via minor things.

Another factor may be that a lot of the event cards are value oriented so people are drafting pretty greedy decks. A hunter that reliably curves out can exploit that as long as you don't run into too many Cavern Dreamers.

Right, C'thun cards were generally good curve minions in a meta that could've really used them. Their justification was that they thought players would feel bad to draft a card whose synergistic purpose was impossible to get, but it's such a lame reason. I would love to draft more 3 mana 3/4s. I was just saying that if that's the reason to remove a card from the draft pool, To My Side should be taken out, as it's much worse than those cards were.

Per the Lightforge, the only one worse at 6 mana is Moorabi, but worse minions at higher mana are Togwaggle, Azalina, Temporus, and the two expensive targeted recruit cards (Dragonhatcher and Silver Vanguard).

Rhok'delar is too. A 6 mana animal companion and a 7 mana 4/2 weapon are both very bad, obviously, but at least they do something. Very inconsistent with their removal of "feels bad to draft" deckbuilding cards like C'thun and odd/even stuff, but they've never been consistent about anything with arena. I just want Snipe back.

Playing spell hunter I am constantly mystified by the number of times people just attack into secrets. You have a dude on board and I just played a secret on turn two? Definitely attack into the wandering monster in order to lose the board. On 3 health after flipping the board and clearing with a Tarim? Better attack face with my weapon into the almost 100% explosive trap so my opponent is at 26 heath instead of 28.

Just got 12 wins with a OKish Paladin my first run drafting with the curve formula that ADWCTA laid out on the most recent Lightforge podcast. If you're curious, it's:

1+2 drops- 4-5 (lean 1s)
3 - 5+
4 - 4+
5 - 3
6 - 1.5
Big Boys - 3
Utility - 3/as few as possible (card draw/non drop/secret)
Removal+initiative - 8-10

I did have a Vincleaver and a Silver Sword but otherwise the deck was mostly average curve minions and janky removal like equality and Hammer of Wrath (no Steeds). This formula apparently works with every class (other than Warlock where you should be smaller) but obviously does best with Paladin and Rogue because the hero power is a reasonable turn 2. Basically, the 2 drops in standard are pretty bad, and many are overbucketed, so most of the time when you take one you are reaching down in value. Better to take 1s and the abundant good 3s. One reason those two classes are so good right now is because they are immune to the twodropocalypse.

Beat Houndmaster with what was essentially an arena level aggro deck thanks to the +2 minion health enchantment because it kept snowball cards like Addled Grizzly and Flesheating Ghoul alive.

Won with both Tracker and Cannoneer on my first run with each. Tracker was a burgle/weapon rogue with the -1 cost for spells not in your deck (Kingsbane with infinite free Deadly Poisons is nice) and Cannoneer was the classic minions above 5 cost 5 deck with three Lich Kings and three Primordial Drakes. This seems easier than Dungeon Run so far but maybe I got lucky.

From looking at HSReplay it looks like the best performing odd mages are just elemental mage variants that use the hero power to control the board. They're actually performing better than standard elemental mage. Small sample sizes, though.

The Marlins have to deal with about $400 million in debt that got loaded on by Loria and was part of the sale. Got Deathwing off of my Brawl pack. A nice reward for the awful 40 minute game in which I edged out a priest who got a Jade Idol with Devour Mind and only the idols and several copies of excavated evil were left in both decks.
