There is a difference between liberals and the far left/sjws

I have no problem with liberals who use facts and logic to make decisions and prove a point.

I have a massive problem with far left/sjws who try to silence anyone that doesn't agree with them and are constantly "victimized" or blaming others.

Yes?

If it's a reputable/prestigious company, or if the candidate in question has very little work experience.

again...
If your company is reputable and/or prestigious than why would they make your last two weeks crap in the first place? and if they did so, do you think they are only going to have good things to say if you put them on the resume?

This is of course ignoring the fact that employers can only legally give generic responses about prior employees these days anyway.

darkbuster posted...
That's assuming you could actually prove that was the case, in court. In an "at will" state, you can be fired for anything or nothing, meaning the only way an employer could ever realistically get in trouble for violating labor laws, would be if they were caught actually admitting that were the true reason.

Great point sir...

side note, you can still put them on your resume.

This is something that needs to be taught in schools and by these days.
Sticks and stones isn't a valid statement anymore, especially in the internet age where everyone's trying to log everything so they can use it against you in the future

One thing I feel i need to clarify is if you get physically violent because someone is using hurtful words, the fault is on you and not the person using hurtful words.

That said if you are being a asshole spouting nonsense, I am not going to be upset if someone gets sick of your shit and punches you in the face (doesn't necessarily make it right, but don't expect me to feel bad for you).

Rey is 100% a mary sue and therefore boring, i don't know why people seem to disagree with this.

Luke made FAR more mistakes and was trained by jedi.

Anakin at least had a backstory, was also trained by jedi, and even he wasn't as amazing as Rei is at basically anything she ever does with little to no training at all (unless of course all that training comes from her "mysterious past")

Rey's backstory is effectively "her past is a mystery so she is good at everything all the time"

I'm not so sure I agree with Star Wars if full of feminist agenda's and ruining everything. But Rey being a mary sue is w/o question true.

So I guess we can forget about Trump's comments from 2005 since we can forget about Kimmel's?

Well Kimmel isn't the president of the united states...
And that skit was on a comedy show 20 years ago that was trying to push the limit.

And if stuff the POTUS said in 2005 directly conflicts or makes him a hypocrite for things he is saying/doing currently then they are still relevant.

The passage of time either absolves someone of their actions or not.

I don't want to hear people say "that was so long ago who cares" for Kimmel but then with Trump's comments go, "oh no it doesn't matter how long it was! That was very bad!"

Deflecting...

Trump is the POTUS, if what he said in 2005 directly conflicts with his statements/actions today and make him a hypocrite then they remain 100% valid because he is the POTUS.

Jimmy Kimmel was on a comedy show meant to push the limit 20 years ago, isn't the president, and isn't making hypocritical tweets.

Many of the things Kimmel supporters and preaches about are in contradiction to his behavior in the past on those shows.

It doesn't matter if Trump was running for president. You either care about what was done in the past or you don't---to pretend to care because someone running may win the election and you want him to look bad is disingenuous

I wouldn't vote for kimmel for POTUS because of the exact contradictions you say.

Same reason trump shouldn't be POTUS.

If trump were a comedian that did something on the edge 20 years ago, I wouldn't hold that against him.

You are trying to compare a comedian/late night tv host to the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES...

Guess what? I hold the president to a higher standard than I do random comedians...

Yesterday I made the argument that Roseanne while being stupid for posting that tweet was no reason to cancel the show. The only counterargument was that ABC didn't want to pay and promote a racist. How long exactly is the waiting period if your only argument now is that Jimmy Kimmel did that 20 years ago? And why is it whatever arbitrary designation of time you assign to it or anyone else assigns to it?

What degree of racism deserves to be forgiven given an arbitrary time passage? Who is to determine that, and why?

SJW's didn't exist en-mass 20 years ago like they do today. That alone is the reason kimmel gets away with his 20 year old blackface.

As far as the roseanne thing, she deserved to be fired, natural consequence of behaving badly on social media.
I also fully expect Keith Olberman to get dropped sooner then later for the same reason.

You mean like when trump was in a twitter war with north korea?
That could easily be compared to monkeys throwing poop at each other.

Monkeys are way more dignified than that. They're also smart enough not to use social media

And yet they throw poop at each other...You are just being purposefully dense at this point.

Your attempted point has failed, give up.

Because obama's personality, attitude, and behaviors didn't resemble a bumbling fool that could be compared to an ape.

Neither do Trump's (he's much more stupid than an ape), and yet apparently people are calling him one.

We should just call every president a monkey from this point on, without caring about what they look like. Then it'll be consistent

Why do you automatically assume it was based off his skin color though? When people were calling Bush a monkey nobody said it was because of his skin color.

You're just projecting your own opinion on why others say what they say

What exactly is the double standard you are pointing out here TC?

That it's okay to call the president a monkey all the time except for when one particular president is president

Dustin1280 posted...

One was based off of skin color.

The other was based off of personality, attitude, and behaviors.

Why don't you racist pieces of shit use the word you really want to use?

Do you live in such a bubble that you think every republican wants to call black people the n word?

He's clearly talking about the ones defending the racist comments. The reasonable ones aren't defending those comments.

Republicans are literally defending calling black people "apes"

That infers ALL republicans...

I'm comparing two historical contexts (it being wrong to call black people monkeys vs it being commonplace to call presidents monkeys) and seeing why one clearly wins out over the other.
