Fine there's your facts. He didn't know she was gay until half a year ago. Maybe he was on the brink of coming back into her life until that point? Or maybe he never gave a fuck in the first place.

That's awesome good for them but none of what she's facing is because she's gay so it's irrelevant if she is or not. There's no proof he's a homophobe, no proof he doesn't talk to her because of her sexuality, and she hasn't mentioned anything about it until two and a half months ago. Seems a bit strange that all of the sudden her estranged father is suddenly a homophobe and won't save her when she's homeless.

It doesn't make it strange. He wants and has never wanted anything to do with her because she was a mistake from an affair. She could say anything she wanted but that wouldn't mean Jackie would have to deny it or else it's true. Her playing the gay card is just her trying to rouse sympathy or else she would've mentioned it in the many years before this May.
