Kinda feels like you don't really understand football at all. Why are you so certain Belgium would've beaten Croatia? They were 2:0 down to Japan with like 30 minutes to go at one point. They're not some super-team. I mean it took one massive fluke of a goal for them to get back in that Japan game. By all rights they should've been out there.

France is legit, they look like a world champion. They beat Argentina in probably the game of the tournament, they comfortably destroyed Uruguay who had sent Ronaldo home and then they beat belgium, the same team that beat Brazil. Croatia won 2 penalties then beat an england team that was OK, better than their last few teams but not amazing.

I just feel this doesn't have the same ring to it as "Germany vs argentina" or "spain vs Netherlands" or "France vs Italy"

Croatia pounded Argentina 3:0 when it mattered just as much (nearly knocking them out in the group stages).
