Not that the games are bad but it's a toss up between OoT and BotW. One did well for the era but there's lots of games these days that do things better.

BotW might lose some steam in the next year or so and people will be like "yeah, it's solid but all these perfect scores are odd". Notice how most of the 10's are from launch?

It's a bit jarring to think about repair, reading more, general improvements but it's sort of like going from Skyrim to Morrowind.

If you can handle that and remember it's the first jump into 3D for the series, you'll enjoy it.

There are good workers who balance out the shit but it's frustrating when I just try to go slow and clear for them.

Achievements kind of ruined gaming for me personally. I don't know what it is, but I typically don't feel motivated to play a game to its potential (like fully explore every facet of the content) without them. If the game really grabs my attention then I will, but that's rare.

Even going back and playing some old games that I loved where I would always try to find all the secrets, it doesn't feel rewarding now. Which sucks because it should be about immersing yourself in the experience, not actively trying to achieve pointless side goals.

Maybe part of it comes down to knowing what "secrets" are actually there vs wasting time in an area.

Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? Literally that's what games are for, to provide pleasure or a sense of accomplishment. Do you guys think that spices in foods are just a marketing tool to get you to eat more food?

Yes. That's why there's excess salt, sugar, caffeine etc in our food. So you eat and buy more.

Why is the money for trophies thing a U.S thing? We don't get shit here.

I think a short "hey how are you?" is fine if you're already online. But yes, one should ask a couple of questions if you can't woo with wit or put a "you seem nice, I think it'd be good to chat" so it doesn't sound so careless.

I dunno. It's better than this funky "I'm deep and interesting, better then others " bullshit.

Not to mention all those programs don't get a lot of money on their own.

I doubt the plot is a masterpiece but maybe TC is referring to the gameplay too? You know, boring endgame (to them) and a poor battle system (to them)?

I agree that it's silly to judge the plot based on the ending but I feel TC is more uninterested in the core gameplay.
