I mean, you can get a small sense of the community and apartment itself with a tour, but what happens when you live there for a couple months and start noticing rodents or roaches or a number of other things? By then you're locked in... Locked in? You can literally break your lease and move. If you own a house, youre screwed lol, you just dropped $40k for a down payment and now the roaches and rodents and other problems, they are yours --- "One day it will all make sense" |

| Lunitik56 03/05/18 6:42:16 PM #110 | The people who say it makes sense to buy a house dont live in a major city. I live in Washington DC and literally no one owns a place, it is just too expensive. Why put a down payment (20% = $80,000+) on a piece of crap condo that youre going to have to be paying $700+ a month on condo fees alone, and it is literally a 650 square foot one bedroom with no upgrades. This is why everyone rents in the city, whether you are 25 years old or 40. --- "One day it will all make sense" |
