I dont want politics in my games. I play games to escape the daily drudgery. Thats the point of entertainment. SJW issues in games just irritate me and make me quit playing them.

The polygon review actually criticized the game for not addressing the current gun rights situation in America

White flight from Memphis and, ironically despite it being middle class, low education. Northwest MS is a unique position of awful education, but a nepotism keeping uncultured, uneducated people in power. My ex got her PhD in Memphis and she even noted....the vibe is very different... in DeSoto county, which was her nice way of saying it was a little racist/uneducated.

I'm not trying to start an argument with you @BigOlePappy but;

One of my sisters is a teacher here and both my sisters have kids in school here and I can say from experience that the DeSoto County Schools have greatly improved. I think the misconception that the area is low educated comes from the belief that DeSoto County was where people came when they couldn't afford to go to Collierville or Germantown. We are the only School District in the Region where every High School has a fully funded arts education program, meaning art, drama, and music. Also every one of our public High Schools has their own Theatre for Performing Arts. You cant say that for too many school districts anymore. As far as the conception of "White Flight", everyone Black, White, Hispanic, or anything else is abandoning Memphis because the crime rate in Memphis has gotten out of control. Year after year the crime rate rises, heck even the police are fleeing, every year more and more police are leaving the MPD to go to different police departments. Last year Memphis was rated the fourth most dangerous city in America by Forbes. The thing keeping Memphis afloat is their Industry. Luckily unlike cities like Detroit, Memphis hasn't had a collapse in its job market.

I wasn't raised here but I Iive in Mississippi now and I'd rather live here in Mississippi than most anywhere else. People who criticize Mississippi mostly don't live here and just go off stereotypes. I've lived just about everywhere from Arizona to North Carolina, from Alaska to Great Britain and with only a few criticisms I have chosen to live here.

What's the best thing about Mississippi? What made you choose Mississippi? @OneGrumpyUncle

@Person106 I would say some of the best things are that the people here in Mississippi for the most part are just friendly and caring towards one another. "Southern Hospitality" is a real thing and it is alive and well in Mississippi. The cost of living is also very reasonable compared to just about everywhere else. While some things like concerts and shows don't always come to Mississippi you are only a short drive to ATL, New Orleans, or Nashville depending on what part of the state you live in. If you like the beach and seafood you have Gulfport/Biloxi and its casinos.

TBH one of the things I miss the most since moving here a little over 16 years ago is I cant get Chinese food delivered around here, but I live in a very nice town where the people at the Chinese food restaurant already know your name and usual order when you call them, just like they do at my dry cleaners, and my dog groomers, and just about everywhere else.

On a side note @BigOlePappy I live in Northwest Mississippi and I'm not sure by what you mean by our area becoming a "haven" for racists.

I thought the same thing when I first came here, but just go with it. Its easier that way.

read the article no shots were fired and they arent even sure at this point if there even was a gun.

"Sources told WFAA's Rebecca Lopez that no shots were fired, and police were investigating whether anyone actually had a gun. A Dallas ISD officer arrested the suspect."

thats near duckbear worthy clickbait.

Wrong have laws.

That's... not what your original post conveyed. Why would you say something stupid and then get mad for being made fun of for it and then say something that contradicts what you originally said? What was the point of your first post? Were you just trying to "take that liberals!" without thinking about whether or not you actually agreed with them?

no my original post was merely trying to point out that with any law there are always going to be sick or determined people that don't give a damn are going to violate them. Merely making something illegal isn't a be all and end all solution, smarter legal solutions to the problem would be a better approach. Why is it so hard to see that getting the both sides to work together towards a common goal instead of a its all or nothing approach is so much better.

You're right why even have laws if criminals ignore them

Wrong have laws. Have stricter background checks that include mental illness history, go ahead and even raise the age to buy any Semi-automatic weapon to 21. Those are intelligent gun reform changes.

Cool. You realize if there was heavily restricted access to guns these types of things would be less frequent? The issue isn't that there aren't enough guns in the US lmao.

yes because criminals and people bound and determined to kill someone are really worried about what the law says about owning an illegal firearm. We all know that works so well with Heroin, Crack Cocaine, and Meth.
