My greatest fear is bees, and I don't really know why. When I see a bee, I have to bolt like a little scared girl or stand still like the T-Rex is looking for me if it's buzzing around me. Other than that, I have other usual fears (certain heights, big spiders (small ones don't bother me), public speaking), but they aren't crippling phobias.

I didn't read any of this except the OP, but this is just idealistic fantasy that only works if you assume 100% of people are inherently good people. Reality is, people are selfish and greedy, and will cheat and take advantage of others for their own gain, or there will eventually be perceived unfairness somewhere that makes people bitter (why do we care so much about THIS person's welfare and not as much as my own?). There's a reason almost all good things are eventually ruined by a few bad apples.

I've done both but I actually prefer 5 8hr days. I don't mind going to work and it makes me more productive in my life outside of it if I'm forced to get up and do things.

Once I'm in motion I'm more likely to stay in motion. I don't mind going to the gym immediately after work but I have no interest if that's the main thing I'm going out to do. Same with running errands and stuff.

As much as I would like a three day weekend every weekend, I kind of agree with this. I have a bad habit of getting super lazy on days off or getting impulses to spend a bunch of money just to go out and do something during the day. I don't hate my job, but I still don't like to go to work, but having my free time limited motivates me more to get my ass in gear and do things that improve myself.

I'd be happier if maybe jobs observed more holidays (such as Easter) for more three day weekends or I had more optional days to take off, but I don't think I'd want to do only 4 days every week.

When it gets to above 110 degrees, yeah it can be pretty bad and insufferable. But when it's in the 100 - 109 range, it's really not that bad. Just drink plenty of water, and everything and everyone has A/C. This has actually been a pretty "cool" summer as far as AZ summers go, so far.

Best thing about living here is when you visit another state and everyone is dying in 90 degree weather and you're the only one there thinking "this is nothing".

The thing is that most people who live on the Internet still don't understand is that the Internet is only a VERY vocal but small minority. Most people who have busy lives working a job and raising a family or doing whatever besides spending all free time on the Internet don't really care what a bunch of plump nerds have collectively decided what's good and what's bad.

Plus, movies are expensive now, especially if you have a family. You're going to take your kids to see something that you'll all most likely enjoy, like the latest big dumb blockbuster. No one is going to pay almost $100 in tickets and concessions to see some weird indie flicks.

Pretty much all of my favorites involve Mick Foley:

Mankind vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell

Triple H vs Cactus Jack in a Street Fight at Royal Rumble

Cactus Jack vs Triple H on RAW (the one after the Three Faces of Foley promo)

Mick Foley vs Edge at WM with the flaming table spot

I love watching Mick Foley. I don't think any would be considered 5 star matches but they're all uniquely brutal in ways I can watch over and over again.

Eh, it depends. I've known some people who've worked those kinds of jobs for 8 - 10 years and bitch about having no money and I kind of wonder how they never got promoted to at least Team Lead or something. So, I do kind of look down on ones who just settle on the job, IF, they're also bitching about it. But there's some people who settle into that kind of work and it fits into their lifestyle and they enjoy it, I don't look down on that at all. Some of these fast food places actually pay pretty damn good now for what it is (places like In 'N Out and Chik-Fil-A, at least).

I also agree with looking down more on people who are "above" certain jobs. Unless I can walk into a room with a bunch of random people and say your name and everyone knows who you are, you're not above shit. People who say that, in my experience, are either usually lazy as fuck or incompetent at the jobs that are on their "level".

I'm gonna break from the majority here, and say in my years of working at a movie theater, traditionalists were the worst. My theater was close to a retirement community, so we got tons of senior customers. Most were pleasant, I will admit, but the bad ones were very annoying. They didn't understand anything, some thought haggling was still a thing, had to bring up how popcorn was like 50 cents in their day, and would just get angry-confused. The most annoying thing is that they would show up literally 2 hours before their movie started, loiter around the theater, and then would sit around inside the theaters before the cleaning staff could go in (usually they'd enter during the last half of the previous movie) and smile at you as they sat in your way.

Had a lot of terrible boomers too but I think traditionalists brought about my worst memories.

You can probably make that case about more "wilder" animals, though, like reptiles or bunnies or turtles or whatever, but they still usually live longer and safer lives in captivity.

I've noticed I do get the best sleep when I follow the recommended sleep tips most sites give. I go to bed by 1 am and always set my alarm to 9 am (usually wake up, though, around 8 to 8:30). By midnight, I enforce a zero technology rule on myself, and usually just try to read in another room in dim lighting until I get sleepy.

I used to read in bed, but I stopped doing that cause they say you should only use bed for sex and sleep so that your mind associates laying in bed with sleep. If I have trouble sleeping, I try to focus on my breathing so that I don't overthink in bed.

I used to use apps to help me sleep but most of them only worked for a few nights and then not as well. I used to use one that measured my sleep quality, and I would get a few great nights, but then I think I would get anxiety if I couldn't fall asleep, I wouldn't get a great night sleep score, and it'd screw me up.

Nice guys, very easily. It is muuuuuuuuch harder for a guy to get laid than a girl.

Guys say this a lot but women don't put as much value on sex as men do, women are usually looking for an emotional connection. Nice guys think "nice things" will grant them sex and nice girls think being easy will grant them an emotional bond; both are people that allow themselves to be stepped on and used.

This is hard to answer, though, I have a bunch of nice guys and nice girls on my facebook. I would say nice guys are worse, just because they have the potential to act out much more aggressively with their inadequacies, but women are much more annoying about it. The nice girls go hardcore posting all of the "I'm a basket case with tons of problems I won't ever try to fix, but that means I'm just hard to love and soooo much more worth it" crap.

2008 is like the only specific year I really remember because it was pretty shitty. I got fired from a dog day care place because my mom was let out of the hospital with a concussion and I was ordered to be with her for 24 hours (it's just me and her, so no one else could watch her while I worked), and I couldn't make it in to work. That's also right when the housing crisis hit, gas went up to like $5 a gallon, and I couldn't find employment for 6 months. I finally settled on a movie theater job that only paid $5.90/hr and only gave you like two shifts a week (the dog day care place was run by a psycho bitch, but payed $9/hr which was pretty damn good in 2008), so even though I had a job I still struggled to pay bills.

Since then, life has been good.

I think this is a big problem. I get sick of shows showing men as pathetic, desperate, disgusting pieces of shit if they don't have a girlfriend, and unfortunately, some of this "alpha" and "beta" culture crap makes it worse. Young guys see this stuff and get down on themselves and consider things like suicide or committing crimes like this instead of improving themselves and enjoying their own independent lives. Even if they do get a girlfriend, they're conditioned to be dependent on another person for all of their happiness that it creates terrible relationships. Oh look, do I get anxious in unfamiliar situations? Yep, I have massive anxiety and I shouldn't do anything. Sometimes I like to straighten things, sure thing I have crippling OCD."
