read the first few years ago but recently started again - quality throughout? i do realize there's like a 100 books.

I battled through the entire Sword of Truth series (which is still going?!) so length doesn't daunt me overly.

I got given a bottle for my birthday which surprised me a little as I'd never given it much thought.

Anyone got some favs? Can get a wide range fairly easily.

Going in without really drinking this, it's difficult to look past the higher alcohol. I hold it in my mouth until the heat comes away then it's just leathery. I think I'm treating it too similarly to wine but 10 years of winemaking mean it's hard to get past the swirl, smell and spit.

I was given this:

I remember working in a small Spanish winery a few years back - it was falling to pieces and a lot of faulty equipment, unfortunately we couldn't go home until the wine was in bottle (quality issues) so have pulled my share of unplanned 24 hour shifts.

Work needs to be done so you do it, as long as there's food and coffee it's feasible. Unhealthy but feasible.

Can't say it's ever really peaked my interest, but a group of friends are keen on doing it and it might be a nice thing to train for. It's in December, be cool to hear how long I should actually bloody train for this.

I believe it's 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride, and a 13.1 mile run which sounds like a bit of a battle.
