I was going to quit in 2014, the exact week I was going to announce my departure is when we got audited. I thought I should at least stay for the audit, and I helped save the company over $100,000. I literally just started a new game with all the dlc after not playing it since release.

It is really good but there is enough emptiness to me in the game world that annoys me. Still fun just not the GOAT like so many says it is.

Insurance sucks, and it's confusing, but once you understand it you'll feel less nervous.

I have been out of insurance now for 2 years or so as well, so any updates since then I probably don't know specifics about.

First things first, you should check out www.healthcare.gov It's the "Obamacare" website. If you're eligible for reduced premiums and such that website will tell you. You'll sign up, put in certain information like your name, date of birth, age, do you smoke etc. Then they will ask how much money you make. Answer truthfully because it will fuck you later if you don't. After you fill that information out you'll be presented with insurance that is for sale in your area.

Things to know:

Deductible - Amount you pay PER YEAR for things before insurance starts covering.
Co-Pay - Amount you pay for a simple doctors visit, specialists visit, ER visit, (there may also be copays for mental health, physical therapy, ambulance rides etc.)
Co-Insurance - Percent INSURANCE pays after your deductible is met. The cap for this is usually called the out-of-pocket (not out-of-pocket max)
Out-of-Pocket- The amount of coinsurance (sometimes combined with deductible) you have to pay before being covered at a higher percent. (Usually 100 percent)
Out of Pocket Max (also called TMOOP in places for Total Maximum Out Of Pocket) - The amount TOTAL you pay for health care in a benefit period.

Example:

You pick a plan with a 500 dollar individual deductible, 80 percent coinsurance, out of pocket of 1500 and a MAXIMUM out of pocket of 2000.

You go to have a surgery done. They say it will be 1700 bucks.

you pay the first 500 (deductible) and then you pay 20 percent of the remaining 1200 dollars. Why do you pay 20 percent? Because the coinsurance (which the insurer pay) is 80 percent leaving you with 20 percent. So for this service you pay 740 dollars. (500 deductible, 240 coinsurance)

Now, your deductible is met FOR THE YEAR since you had to pay it on this surgery. Every medical service you have for the rest of the year will be that 20 percent. This is the case until those 20 percents you pay add up to your out of pocket of 1500. Once your out of pocket is met that surgery would have been covered at 100 percent.

The total maximum out of pocket is the most you will spend on medical services for the year. It's a relatively new thing that I believe started with Obamacare as a "simple way" for people to know what their ailing health will cost them in a year. The 2000 TMOOP on this plan basically means in a benefit period, if you go into the Hospital on January 1 and leave December 31 the MOST you will pay is 2000 bucks. Even if the bill is millions and millions of dollars.

I'm an independent voter that didn't vote Trump (or Hillary). It's no worse. I even take home a little more from the tax cuts. The downside is he says stupid things and I still worry he is going to do something that starts a real major war.

Under Obama my Healthcare plan got destroyed and I now have an insane deductible and copays that basically acts as catastrophic coverage. Before him I had a pretty decent coverage plan.

I like Obama the person a lot better but so far Trump has been better for me and my family.

Split screen lan parties. A lot of Halo/Halo 2 was had in high school before some of us had high speed internet access (this was a challenge for lots of rural areas in the early/mid 2000s).
