Sanders' platform seemed to consist of raising corporate taxes, increasing personal taxes on top earners, redistributing that money in the form of welfare and other social programs including lowered tuition for education.

there is no chance that we could, I dont know, raise taxes a reasonable amount and better fund social programs w/o descending into pure communism

It doesn't get too technical I'm afraid so if you want a very deep look into the music theory behind it, you'll want to look elsewhere (some great courses do an okay job of diving a bit more into it)

My plans... nothing really.

I might work on building this PC I've been putting off. We might have some friends over tonight to play board games (jinx Balrog).

I will probably go to the grocery store after work, but first going to go see my grandmother who is having a rough depression day. Lots of death in the family is affecting her view or mortality. So I'm taking some crayons and coloring books over there to just do something fun and happy.

Again, when I was saying consciousness there, I wasn't referring to the traditional sense of consciousness, because I think the traditional sense requires mysticism.

I think working memory relies on prefrontal circuits that have particular cellular properties that allow for attractor dynamics that are resilient to distraction, for example. I think cognitive neuroscience studies consciousness in the only way consciousness exists. Which is, more or less, non existing.

ah okay so you approach is with a strictly materialist viewpoint. do you find that there are more dualists in your field or more people that take your approach
