I'll be fair with the consortium website and say that the website does appear legitimate, but from what I glimpsed at the subject matter here is self-sourced and has very few external sources beyond the discussion from the writer (Parry), who is dead, meaning i can't reliably say the person who took over the story/site has the same level of credibility as Parry seemed to have had

How else do you expect a person to concisely acquire the skills needed to jump ship from being a truck driver to a self-driving car mechanic?

You aren't addressing any of the huge pitfalls with this. We could be talking about a person who is years or decades out of schooling who would need to know a lot of things about software and new-age car mechanics to have any chance of being a repairman for self-driving cars.

It requires higher education. Higher education costs a lot of money and those costs are increasing. It's plausible that some positions may permit pay that gives them the money to do this (ergo; some drivers may be paid well), but that isn't necessarily true depending on location and the size of their family and for the likes of Uber, Bus, or Taxi Drivers certainly isn't the case.

You are not thinking about the logistics of this. You're not providing good examples of how your reality would come about. You're handwaving the fact that automation is an enormous double edged sword when it comes to low skilled labor and the economic implications that has for a large number of people in society.

You could probably make some sort of argument with Kusanagi that whitewashing is semi-pertinent even as a robot since androids produced in a hypothetical future would likely be ethnically accurate to their region, especially in a country as xenophobic as Japan.

I don't attach to these because I don't really think it matters unless their ethnicity or race is important to the material.

So, conversely, I think the casting in The Last Airbender is pretty bad, because the societies in that series were inspired/designed based on real ones. I think that's relevant because rather than one character with a hypothetically malleable ethnicity (due to being an android) you have entire social structures meant to be one race in the source material that are inconsistent/modified for no apparent reason.

That being said, since these subjects come up a lot in adapting animated media with a lot of worldbuilding/background, the best solution is for Hollywood to cease taking steaming dumps on good works of fiction or hire somebody who cares and let them control production

Why can't you just make a British spy movie with a black guy? The Kingsmen didn't flounder because it wasn't James Bond. Unless you're arguing that literally the only way to make a bond-like black hero succeed is by riding off existing name recognition, then just make your own IP.

You seem like someone willing to make and listen to reasonable arguments. I'm curious what your take on my earlier post is, since honestly before we argue the merits of whether James Bond can be black versus white I think people still need to make a compelling argument for why it has to be James Bond and not a new character.

I don't think James bond "must" be black. My viewpoint is that if Idris Elba or another black actor were cast I wouldn't take issue since there is malleable continuity with franchises in terms of what can be rebooted.

I actually would like Idris Elba as Bond, but that's because I think he's a very good actor who would make a good Bond. If he wasn't cast, my second option wouldn't automatically be a black actor because it's about the actor for me and not the race.

It could just as easily be Idris Elba in a good spy movie and I'd still be happy with it; I'd get stuck on Bond more because you know what tone and style to expect from a Bond movie rather than an upstart franchise.

I think Tom Hardy in earnest is the most likely replacement for Craig, which is fine.

It's not an issue I care a lot about, but I think the OP is absurd and the comparison doesn't make sense

The studio even publicly blamed the movie's poor box office performance on the casting controversy.

What's really silly about this is you can look at scene recreations from the 1995 film to the American variant and see how shitty it looks in comparison, and part of that is either -

-Because the people directing didn't know how to use color well

or

-The shots in the 95 movie are just better suited with animation

It failed because anime isn't a big moviegoing market (the demographic that likes anime probably doesn't go the movies much) and because Hollywood hires hack directors to do anime movies so they all turn out like shit. Same reason VG movies are all bad.

Studio can't accept that it produced shit and that'll mean they keep making the same mistake

The Daniel Craig Bond series is a reboot. He's the only one who is different. The rest are the same character.

Then it's pretty well established that a reboot can occur. Change "various" continuities to "two" and the point stands.

The Bond series is one of those things I'm real nerdy about. I just want to mention all this stuff cause I see misconceptions about the series a lot.

No, it isn't. Like, not in any way, shape, or form.

If you actually watched the movies, you'd know that.

But all the Bonds are clearly not the same person from a distinguishable timeline of events. It exists in a number of different continuities because it's a very old franchise. Ergo, Connery's Bond is not the same person as Craig's Bond as both take place in separate continuities.
