Yep, after star wars and andromeda it's hard to believe that Anthem will be received with anything other than skepticism, no matter how much they pay for good reviews.

I think it should be pretty clear the game is set up to try benefiting from microtransactions in a way similar to Battle Front. Robotic suits with a variety of components, paint jobs, and whatever? How can you not monetize that into unplayability?

And with Andromeda the reception was actually worse than the game deserved, but what I think hurt them most, imo anyways, was how they dropped it like a rock.

Anyways I would be more shocked if Anthem wasn't what made Bioware go the way of basically every other developer EA has obtained.

to see how anthem is going to go, look at how destiny 2 became loot box central
