I don't deny that guns make it easier to commit violence, but they're not the underlying cause. Based on some testing that I've done, it seems like that this is actually the case here. If you were to use a browser extension that causes your browser to not send a referrer URL while browsing GameFAQs, you could still get images from Imgur to load normally. I just confirmed this.
