Genuinely liked every character in the movie, even the side characters and villains. Woo was amazing, and the X-Con's were fantastic as always.

And I liked how they handled Morpheus's character.

Overall, it's a definitely 9/10 for me, and I feel like it's more enjoyable than the first in some ways.

It's better, but so disjointed.

You can play as all four of the bros now, but only during combat sections, and when the encounter's over you're forced back to Noctis.

Almost all the new story content is through the DLC chapters which you have to access via the main menu, and some contain endgame spoilers so you have to complete the main game anyway before getting any development for a couple characters, which is annoying.

Meanwhile, there's a part in Chapter 13 where you can play as either Noctis or Gladio, and the game lets you choose who you want, but whoever you don't choose has their entire section skipped over. So if you choose Gladio, you don't get to see anything that Noctis does, and when it switches back to him afterward you're left confused because what happened to him was very plot-advancing and you didn't get to see it. It'd be very easy to just have the game let you switch between both characters or go "Now that you've finished Gladio's section, you can go back to follow Noctis".

They turned the final area of the game into a full-fledged "dungeon" area, though, with side quests and everything, and not just a couple sidewalks and a boss rush. So that was legitimately cool.

And then there's a couple new patched-in cutscenes which slightly retcon the story in order to flesh out some of the lore the base game didn't delve into properly.

Overall, the new content is cool, but feels like it's been tacked on so unprofessionally and it's very confusing to field though for pretty much everyone.

The main bad guy in the first game, Ansem, is actually a scientist named Xehanort who stole his master Ansem's name after getting rid of him and turned into a Heartless.

But actually that scientist named Xehanort is actually an old man named Master Xehanort who possessed some young kid named Terra in order to stave off old age long enough to complete his goals.

And now he's gathered 13 versions of himself through time-travel. Sora's goal in KH3 is to stop all of him.

Outside of the bosses that actually were fucked up due to 60fps, I think it's alright. Took my eyes a little bit to get used to the switch when I first played DDD HD, but now I think everything looks great.

Only problem now is that KH1's camera is a bit too slow for how fast the game runs, imo.

Yeah, Thor mentioned later that Thanos only wiped out half his people, and the directors confirmed that Valkyrie escapes with the other half.

As for the main question, yeah it was kinda stupid. Getting a new hammer...? Ehhh, I can see that (it'd be better if it only had enough power to last this one time, though, or something). But he didn't need to get a new eye back as well. It was really dumb.

X/Y were great, though (outside of the story), and all of Gen 7 is just eh for me.

Deadpool 2 was a much more entertaining movie.

Infinity War was mostly set-up for the second movie, with a cliffhanger that didn't do anything more than have you say, "Can't wait for them to undo all of this next year." It wasn't bad, but it was a movie consisting entirely of a plot's rising actions. Even the final fight was underwhelming.

Deadpool was just great.

Yeah, I agree. In every other movie, Thor was always boring, but after Ragnarok and Infinity War, he's definitely one of my favorite Avengers. Taika Waititi did him good.

The cutscenes here are very, very long.

The longest KH scene thus far has been around 11 minutes long, at the end of DDD. But for the most part, they're usually shorter than the scenes here in Toy Box seem to be.

But I kinda want Tony to die off in Avengers 4 just so they can distance Peter's character from him. Not that I don't love their dynamic, but I really want a Spider-Man whose character isn't centered around impressing Iron Man. Once he becomes his own hero, I feel like he'll finally be the perfect iteration of Spider-Man on the big screen.

I presume the reason Black Widow was basically cut from infinity war was because of the reaction to her being too weak and human in the last Avengers film.

Nah, the Russos said they made sure to give more screentime to everyone who "dies" in Part 1 so the rest can get their screentime in Part 2. So people like Black Widow, Cap, and Hulk will get their chance to shine in the sequel.

I will say this is true.

That scene at the start with Stark and Spidey in the park just felt so comic book-y to me. Like two random heroes teaming up because they both live the in same city and seeing the same threat, exchanging some fun banter, and then tossing around a bad guy. Amazing.
