was there ever a set time for sending PMs before pre-season is simmed tonight? Was going to make some roster changes if I could find the time to do so today before any deadline, but no big deal if not.

Based on your offer, and KCF's earlier post, it basically went Stan, then me, then you I'm guessing with Stan and I offering close to max guaranteed, but Stan gave an extra year over me, while I was right between you guys at 8.8 mil per year.

Of course that might be off if KCF had to raise the total salary required due to the extra years on the deal.

As far as the trade with the 49ers, I guess you think we're not giving up enough? I thought Jeff Saturday was going to turn 37 this year and he retired, so I definitely would not be comfortable giving up much more than what I have for a center at the end of their career.

If you think Scare could do much better with a player-for-player deal with the AI or someone else, then I understand the hesitance.

I am only doing this deal now because of certain off-season plans that I wasn't sure I was previously going to enact. Otherwise, I'm not really convinced it would be worth it for the Bills to surrender a 3rd round pick for a player at the end of their career.

Nah, that's fine. I figured you were trying to get a younger DT who performed well last season and just dumping the older one with a big contract since Raji had a good stat line last year in his first year starting for us.

Brady Quinn was pretty mediocre for us 2 seasons ago when we were hit by some pretty rough inuries, but his stat totals have actually been surprisingly good when you factor in my first season when he was backing up Hasselbeck (who got hurt fairly often during games).

His totals in my tenure are 447-744 (60.1% completion rate), 5487 yards (7.4 yards per attempt), 50 TDs, 23 INTs. Pretty good in all considering this last season was his first full one that he started for the Bills.

Granted, I don't know what he did before I took control of the Bills, and I'm not sure how much of that was a product of having Chad Johnson to throw to.

He's still on the market for anyone looking for a QB!

Hoping one of these deals did not in anyway hinge on the Bills' response to a certain PM. Especially since I had to type the response to that PM up 3 different times. >_>

Well, yeah, it probably applies anywhere, but it's way more prevalent at HB where there's a plethora of 80+ players who are very ready to demand trades/hold out.

Like, Mewelde Moore will not be returning to the Bills next year because he is 32 years old, 84 overall, and is mad he wasn't starting, and appliyng the franchsie tag to him obviously wouldn't make any sense.

I'm also tempted to weigh in as against the trade, assuming there isn't some other deal the Jags are sure to have in place, just because KCF has informed us about high-rated HBs not starting are highly likely to either be hold-outs or demand a trade if they don't get to start.

I guess, pending further discussion of the trade, I'm against it for now.

That was frustrating. There was a charge called against UMBC, then no basket interference against K State, then no offensive foul against K-State on the same play UMBC was called for a charge on all in the span of a couple minutes that UMBC couldn't recover from.

They put themselves in that situation though with all the missed shots and free throws unfortunately.

They gave incredible effort in this tournament even if they were outmatched physically and talent-wise in the end. <3 UMBC.

Went back on the DVR - that travel call against UMBC was bogus.

If Virginia gets smart and starts using their size advantage inside, they have plenty of time to turn this around. But if they keep jacking up 3s, then UMBC has a real chance here.

He had like 230 yards and 6 TDs in the four games he played with Rodgers before Rodgers went down last year.

He's going to be 33 later this year, but he's plenty good enough for the 2yr/15 mil he's apparently getting from the Raiders.

It's crazy to see the Packers let go of Jordy. Not entirely unexpected given his age, but it feels like the end of an era.

Maybe Graham can go back to the dominant TE he was with the Saints now that he has Rodgers throwing to him. I'm not getting my hopes up.

Really dumb move imo. He was just as productive as ever before Rodgers went down last season. Meanwhile, Cobb has all but disappeared since getting paid and will continue to get paid.
