Maybe in regards to recording in public, due to some newer state laws.

Wiretapping on the other hand is archaic stuff that just blankets recording in any way (particularly audio though). And the problem comes from states that put in two-party consent laws where the person you're recording (even if unintentionally) has to be made aware, and recording of audio needs actual written consent.

It gets over 110 where I live near Palm Springs. And I have never once heard of any such possible issue regarding gassing up during hot weather.

Maybe it's going from high 80's to 105+? That might be enough to pop a tank if you overfill it and then don't drive for a couple days while temps go up.

Anything Controversial was required to "Notify the Parents" first and have them sign approval forms.

So no, it's not idiotic. It's called having common decency to inform parents on topics that may be "Controversial".

And any "Gender" courses didn't even exist when I went to school.

Really? I never had to have my projects and speeches approved by other parents before presenting them. Do you really think it's feasible or sensible to screen every single student project before every single parent before a student is allowed to present it?

And high school required no parental notification for sex ed classes when I attended. Could be a regional or generational thing I suppose, though I doubt I'm that much younger than you (wish I was still under 30).

If the teacher actually dealt with it by using the students' last name (especially if he switched to using all their last names, but the article doesn't say), that seems like a fair compromise. He's not "dead naming" anyone, but he's also not being forced to say something he doesn't support.

If he commonly used last names alone with his students I could definitely see this being a non-issue.

If this student was one of the only or few students that he only referred to by last name, then fair, next.

Also, not supporting your student who's trying to overcome a problem in a way prescribed by most doctors is grounds enough for being fired IMO.

Opening in safe mode with networking should let you access the internet in safe mode.

If not, buy a cheap throwaway flashdrive. Download malwarebytes with a different computer, then use regular safe mode and get it that way. I'd remove and discard the drive after moving malwarebytes over, as chances are the virus will migrate to it once you put it in.

Canada did something similar.

Canada's judges ruled by the letter of the law and so didn't consider anything other than penetration to be bestiality. There was an attempt to add more to the list of prohibited acts, but the wording of it was opposed by farmers and fishers because it could also apply to stuff that would affect their job. I think there were some other animal rights stuff in there that people considered to be reaching too far.

As for the current state of bestiality in Canada, I think they just kind of left it in limbo.

Most people in the US don't drink tea on a regular basis.

Coffee is big, which is why most people will have either a coffee maker or, nowadays, a keurig.

You have to remember that the odds of you being born you (and not, say, as one of your siblings, or one of the other quadrillions of sperm/egg combos possible) are already ineffably high.

Making a large change even one generation ago would likely replace a good portion of the population with different people.

A change that large and so long ago? Yeah, maybe some parts of the world stay the same for a small period (parts that had absolutely no contact with the west), but eventually the change will catch up by the mid 1900's, when globalization really started connecting everyone.

Odds are you wouldn't be able to name a single person that existed in this timeline. Not that it'd matter since you wouldn't exist either, which would create a paradox and destroy the universe.
