No way. If anything, mandatory ownership would make it worse.

My memory is terrible. I have to put a lot of reminders in my phone, otherwise, I'd forget a lot of things.

TopicWhy do some people prefer movies to TV?

Movies are better for character development in that they can keep things succinct and focused. Ditto for the events and narrative. For instance, I love Jessica Jones s2 but a *lot* of that shit could have been condensed or cut. Like with other shows, it had storylines just to give characters something to do (Grimm was egregious when it came to this, too).

While I prefer tv to film because you get more content (especially when I really wind up liking a character), film tends to be the superior art form.

Lots of people simply don't have hours to binge-watch a show or enjoy having to wait a week/month/year for the next episode and/or season, unless it's already available ala Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. Some just want instant gratification or to keep their minds or their kids' minds busy for an hour while mom or dad works, cooks, cleans, etc.

Also this. There are a lot of shows I hold off on starting because I don't like I can devote enough time if I really get hooked and want to binge.

This is why I prefer movies. I find a lot of t.v. shows go on for too long, plus the time commitment is longer, even if it is something interesting.

It's my first time coming here, and I assumed it was about the polls we get on the homepage, but the different topics are really random.

I think you just answered your own question.
