I dont think he has actually ever said that. He also wouldnt necessarily do it because Metroid needs more reps or whatever excuse people imagine. Samus alone for two games, and ZSS (not even a separate character in Brawl) was in two games. 2 reps over 4 Smash games. Now Ridley and Dark Samus are included, thats 100% more Metroid characters in just one game. Its not all rhyme and reason.
