My brain is pretty fried that this has actually happened. 8 years ago I bullied this kid who called himself Nidhoggr in Highschool because he was a real creep, example: In the middle of English class, he tried to use his laptop to take pictures of the girls behind him to masturbate to later. Most of the class saw him do this but I was the only one to call it out. "Hey Nidhoggr you know we see you taking pictures of the girls behind you, right? fuckin creep!" The classes reaction was a mixture of laughter and "Are you serious?" and "Wow". And the teacher just acted like nothing happened and continued lecturing after we quieted down. All Nidhoggr did in response was close his laptop and put his head in his arms like if he couldn't see us we didn't exist lol. Being the gossiping drama whore that I was, I made sure to spread the info of this event to the entire high school because I thought it was hilarious. Keep in mind that Nidhoggr physical appearance fit the stereotype of the kind of guy who would do this. Short, unattractive and terrible social skills, so Nidhoggr never lived this down. Fast forward to today, a friend of a friend invited Nidhoggr to my Discord and joined my group in Overwatch. I didn't bully him or anything because I burned too many bridges and decided to grow up a few years back. So we all talked about upcoming games coming out and he asked me if I was planning to get SSBU and I told him "Eh I was thinking about it but unsure if I want to spend the $60." And then he says "I got you" and sends me a code for it almost immediately. I have no clue how to feel about this, I know he's not rich because he works at Arbys. I think I have a mixture of guilt, confusion, appreciation, depression? Why would he do this CE? |

Generally the only people who prefer hamon are the ones who got turned off from the transition in part 3 and haven't got much further than that. The majority of fans who've gotten to part 5 prefer stands over hamon so there's no reason for Araki to make it hamon again when the people who prefer it wouldn't read that far anyway. (part 2 is also generally considered pretty bad in the manga and it's the anime that salvaged it. The anime wouldn't get to a part 9 in at least a couple decades.) Part 7 does put a "spin" on hamon anyway but by that point stands have gotten so creative and interesting people still prefer it. |
