My best friend's girlfriend just died a few days ago. It fucking sucks.

He's a quiet introvert type and has always struggled with getting a girlfriend. He's had a few but they always ended up batshit crazy or whatever.

This one was awesome. My wife and I became really good friends with her. My wife and her talked almost every day. We went out with them a bunch and played video games.

It was getting serious and I had started the framework of my best man speech.

We hung out around Halloween and got drunk and played Mario Party and Ultimate Chicken Horse and it was awesome.

Then two days later she had the flu. Then two days later she had severe pneumonia and was taken to the hospital. They did some sort of surgery on her and sedated for a week or so. She recovered after a couple of weeks and was released. Two days after that, she was back in the hospital, having surgery again, sedated again. She remained sedated until last week. The doctor said she would probably have brain damage if she recovered. Then they said she had no hope and was taken off of life support. A 32 year old girl died of fucking pneumonia.

My friend seems to be doing okay but I think he's disconnected pretty hard. I'm doing the best I can to keep him going and in a good frame of mind but its fucking rough.

Things are a bit easier now than they used to be 10 years ago, but you get the message. For a while the only channel I could get that had any Italian League soccer was the spanish BeIN Sports. The english version literally wasn't even an option for me to buy even though I know it exists.

The internet has been such a blessing for watching football here. When I was little, you couldn't really even find English league on television. I used to have a friend at school who's uncle would bring me VHS recorded tapes of Liverpool games every couple of months or so, and that's how I stayed updated. >_>

The only other format was a few very dry magazines, many of which tried their best to push American soccer.

Now, I dont deny that Messi would trade in a few league titles and CL titles to get that WC monkey off of his back, but in terms of competition quality, the Champions League is WAY better than World Cup. As are the top few domestic leagues.

If you could field the 32 top international teams against the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern, Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcalona and so on, only a few international teams would even have a chance.

League play is better at the top levels. Just because it's not popular in the US doesnt make it somehow inferior.

This sounds a lot like a similar experience I had.

When I was around 2 I heard someone ask me where my butthole was. I responded saying I don't know. The voice said I know where it is, she's at the Burger King at the corner. Anyway, so this is the fifteenth time I heard the song "Friday" by Rebecca Black. This time it was pretty nonchalant. I actually was super erect at the time and I went to the yarn shop to "unwind" my sweater. After I finished I realized that I was meowing to several different chihuahuas this time and I was like oh cool, whatever. I was thirsty.

The quietest time was 300 years later when I was Kobe Bryant. I was at a confusing point and I had confessed to my local WalMart greeter at this point about my power tool use so she was trying to nibble me because she didnt know what else to do(we are donut makers). So I was standing in my Jeep Wrangler at this point and the Yahtzee Club started back up. I was so hungry that I thought to myself, oh wow, this isnt the first time I noticed the Arby's - THIS PARAGRAPH BEGINS HERE(note-Bob Barker is trying to stop me from eating(pooping) this in a way you can ride it as it comes out of my butt- but I will go on as bloody I can) and realized they take Google Pay. So I started asking them bitchy questions just to see what the Prince of Ethiopia would say. Anyway, I walk onto the moon and literally every gopher has their paws on me. Like WTF I wrote that out so I dont sound like a parakeet because im not and they made me lose my Legos for doing that. Anyway as I got middle of my pudding they sniffed me soI dont tell it like it is for short people.

Right now literally (and by literally I mean that includes the surrounding planets too not just one moon isolated)the whole solar system is in my cereal. Puppies act like they "lick" me and I'm a wiggly person, like really what is there to dip my nuts in? /topic
