Sometimes. Sometimes they aren't. And part of growing up is learning to adapt to that.

I'm not saying parents shouldn't be open to suggestions, but somethings are non-negotiable. Just like in life with the law or a boss or a landlord, etc.

Well that's a stretch in logic. Just because terrible people use something doesn't make it terrible.

It is in fact a thing that living in someone's house means you follow their rules. And if their rules are unfair you leave. As a child growing up, you stay within the rules and then leave when you're grown/can. It's basics.

And if they're abusers, well everyone agrees they're terrible and the law literally is such that they'll get in trouble if reported/found out (in theory).

Movies gauntlet hasn't created anything and has severe limitations. It's likely not possible.

Even if it was, it's not feasible and doesn't make sense. Doubling resources just means there's more to use so people use more. He'd be constantly doubling it. And making it unlimited just means people get lazy and fat which isn't really what he wanted.

It's also not perfectly balanced, which he harps on a lot.

And doubling resources looks goofy. You're basically making the universe expand or making everything replenish indefinitely.

Sounds like the parents need to do more in helping their child deal with negative feelings. And monitor them more. It's absolutely bizarre that a small child even thinks of suicide and knows how to do it.

I thought 14 was the cut off age by law? I had a cousin kicked out at 14. He eventually came back, but yeah.

Either way, if a 15 year old isn't following your rules, I don't see why they can't be kicked out temporarily. Or even permanently if given to family (the family has to be willing obviously). The whole 'my house, my rules' thing has to be enforced to be taken seriously.

Easy money. You can walk a mile in about 20 minutes at least. So that's 5 miles an hour, walk for 6 hours a day, bring a hotspot with you, as well as some other entertainment and you'll be there in....like half a year. Less if you ever jog or run or walk for longer than 6 hours out of a 24 hour day (usually awake for at least 16). Hell if you just doubled it to 12 hours (4 hours of free time), then it's 83 days aka 3 months. If you walk the whole time while you're awake, roughly 15 hours then it's less than 2 months. But that's actually hard.

So with balanced jogging/speedwalking running, I'd say probably like 75 days so 2.5 months for 50 billion dollars.

Well if it's actual abandonment, yeah. Hence I need more time to pass. It could just be kicking him out of the house which is similar but less abrupt/shocking as they know what's going on.

And it depends on what the child's done. Was it just smoking? Was it a combination of things? Does the smoking do something terrible to the parents/one of the parents? Things like that.

I don't take anything for face value because there's always 3 sides to every story and nothing is black and white.

Sounds like bad parenting by several magnitudes.

Not being involved in the child's life enough to notice these feelings, not teaching them how to handle bullying or disappointment or being sad, not teaching them self-worth, somehow letting them even consider suicide as a choice (which is weird. As a child it never crossed my mind as a thing that could happen), etc.

Thor never got such a statement and is a literal god. Even Scarlet Witch didn't get a statement like that and she has some powerful feats. It's the statement, not the power.
