I miss those unique cool arcade games Sega used to come out with. We probably won't ever see something like Crazi Taxi ever again. Even their console games like Jet Set and Streets of Rage (at least SoR4 is coming) often had that arcade feel to them.

Funnily enough the most Sega-life game from the last decade is probably Bayonetta.

Valkyria Chronicles has that old school feel.
The Total War games are solid.
Sega and Atlus is a good thing as well.

It's just at the industry has changed so much...just as it has in film and music...Generally for the worse.

JRPG's aren't really what I mean and the rest are just companies Sega bought out.

Sega just don't really make the games that they used to. They make a lot less in general.

Believe me, I'm aware. I'm just saying, that's just one of the few SEGA games that still have the old spirit.

I was a total Sega kid. I loved the Mega Drive and I remember obsessing and wanting a Dreamcast real bad. Somehow the Saturn skipped past me.

But the classic Sega from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's is long dead. I don't think they have any internal developers who can develop anything like their classic stuff. They're good for buying out developers and publishing their games these days.

Pretty much this. Frankly, they were always a victim of their own success. The Genesis brought arcades home. That help to kill their arcade business, where they ruled. And the Dreamcast showed the greater potential of the console, which they couldn't keep up with. Due to the fact that the Genesis really was what drew in so much attention to the console marker. ((Remember the PS1 was Nintendos failed attempt at a CD system.)) Too bad the PS1 was an underpowered 3D gaming spam machine that brought in the masses...and the money.

Ya exactly... There is a long time homeless community in Saratoga. In fact as the woman was explaining the situation to the cop, the cops basically said, ya we know where all your places are. In this case it was behind or beside the Price Chopper on Railroad place, or R50. Which has been a spot for as long as I can remember. I used to pass through there in the 90's after high school.

Both of my parents have passed. My Mom a long time ago, and my dad about 15 years ago...I found him, sudden heart attack. I know the feels.

I did go to a charity Hockey game that benefited a community center that my Mom used to work with, back when Saratoga an actual 'Bad side of town' Kinda felt good to do it.

Well I'm 31 years old and my mom's dead, don't talk to my dad much ,my wife doesn't drive nether does my 5 year old hyperactivity autistic son so I have to go outside and drive places like grocery shopping ,find a new job .walk to the corner store 2 blocks away .i go outside a lot i guess is what I'm getting at . I try to be friendly to people so I don't become anti social but a lot of people act like assholes ,most people speed from point a to b even in snow and ice .

Ya, I had to help a homeless woman a few weeks ago, who was...at least threatened by a guy with a knife and he apparently had an ax. She approached me at about 2:30 AM in the parking lot of the Price Chopper in Saratoga Springs. Oddly the cops borderline turned it on her, as a potential trespassing issue.

There is a real melting pot of types up here.

I do enjoy those, and I am good at them.

Look, I don't hate RE4 and trust me I bought a GC just to play RE4 and I thought it was a ton a fun but it isn't perfect and its flaws are very colorful. All i'm saying is it is the most overrated game of all time. no one will find it flawed.

That's the thing. It was the first, zomg horror adult game on the GC. Remember Nintendo is the Fisher Price of gaming. It was babies first RE experience. RE4 is a run and gun with the title Resident Evil slapped on it.

I went to one, a bit earlier, but still, there were a few people in there. At least two of which were homeless.
After getting change and starting the wash, I went to get a hair cut. So left, and got the cut.
I always put hair cut money in a different pocket then the rest...so I don't have to pull a wad in when it comes time to pay.

The man kind stuck his head up and said "Hey is this yours. I found it on top of the change machine. I was going to bring to the police station in the morning if you didn't show up"

I thanked him, and tipped him like $120.

I was a pretty awesome moment, tbh.

Didn't honestly expect you to. But you could have googled what I wrote, seen what it is, and noticed the Fila box on the ground. And been like, "Oh, I get it. I must be on CE, I should expect a little of this sort of thing" ..And then gotten on with life. But nope more fun to obtuse instead, I guess.
