I've only had one awful seller, it was a formerly good website that apparently turned to shit. I used PayPal to pre-order a game and then wanted to cancel. They just kept paying me lip service, I assume hoping to wait out the time limit so I'd be fucked over... Before that day arrived, I contacted PayPal support and sent them the messages we'd exchanged. The guy at PayPal sent them a threatening letter, I guess, to the extent of "refund the money as you promised or we'll do it for you and take further action on your account." | TheCyborgNinja 11/02/18 8:50:25 PM #6 | I know that feel, bro. I go through phases for a few months at a time where I'm much less interested, but I never completely abandon gaming. I started with the NES, but didn't get into it seriously until N64 and PS1. For the most part, it was my main thing until 2008, when my interest waned apart from a few bright spots like the first Black Ops. I wouldn't say I got heavily reinvested again until about 2015. I used to buy a few full-price games every week or two anyways, but now if you average it out over the year, it's one or two per month and then some cheaper ones. I wasted a lot of money though... Let's say I bought 6 new releases one month, I'd probably play 2-3 of those in that time and finish maybe 1. It was awful. I lacked impulse control, clearly. I finish more of the stuff I pick up now and buy less, and I am a lot happier for it. I still buy probably double the amount I should though. I've probably bought over 600 games this gen and finished roughly 30-40, but the ones I do finish I typically go through several times. The problem is I never really know which games those will be half the time... I almost didn't buy XCOM: Enemy Unknown when it came out originally, but had a gift card and thought "fuck it" and it turned out to be one of my most played games of last gen. --- "message parlor" ? do you mean the post office ? - SlayerX888 |
