Topic | I have been playing Bravely Default |
kukukupo 09/24/18 7:10:51 PM #9 | The games themselves (the mechanics) are pretty good. It would have been an instant classic if it was done in 2d instead of the crappy 3D, though. |
Topic | In writing, what is it called when... |
kukukupo 09/24/18 7:09:33 PM #11 | Dark City |
Topic | I've made a little over 2500 this week. AMA |
kukukupo 09/23/18 6:03:49 PM #8 | Yeah, it is nice. But start shoveling some away and pretend you still make what you used to. There is no better feeling than knowing you have "FU" money if you want to go in another direction. |
Topic | Dragon Quest XI is better than Xenoblade Chronicles 2. |
kukukupo 09/22/18 7:09:14 PM #10 | Well, the best version of the game (3DS with 2d DQXI) isn't available, so no point in getting it yet. Hopefully that's why the switch version is taking so long. |
Topic | What is your personal job interview success rate ? |
kukukupo 09/16/18 6:52:58 PM #17 | Probably under .100 Before my college degree I was 100%. I got my degree and searched for jobs when the economy was bad - and there were regularly 200+ applications for most positions I applied for. The experience of doing job interviews was great, however. In the last 10 years I've been 2/2. |
Topic | Hot take: I think the Xenoblade series is mediocre. |
kukukupo 09/16/18 8:53:29 AM #6 | I'll take it one further. It isn't even good. I don't understand why people would want to play a MMO as a single player experience. To each their own, I guess. |

kukukupo 09/13/18 4:25:12 PM #59 | rogerskg1979 posted... I remember when PC graphics cards were optional. Games would run perfectly without them, but they looked a bit better if you did have a graphics card. I think Star Wars Rogue Squadron was the first PC game to require a graphics card. I can remember having to clear space on my 15 MB (NOT GB) hard drive to make room for a MASSIVE game that took up 9 MB |

kukukupo 09/10/18 6:09:22 AM #96 | PaddysPub posted... Like holy shit, man, hes not disrespecting the country, flag or song in any way at all. Really? I understand it perfectly. I get why he does it - but it is his own fault everything is so convoluted. He chose a poor way to protest and his message was completely unclear from the start. Thus it has morphed into what it is today. |
Topic | Pizza |
kukukupo 09/09/18 7:57:54 PM #19 | It all depends on the type. For pan pizza, pizza hut no question. Dominos and Papa Johns make some pretty good hand tossed, but the Papa Johns pan was some of the worst pizza I've ever had. |
Topic | Happy Dragon Quest XI Day! |
kukukupo 09/04/18 1:20:08 PM #2 | Except the best version wasn't brought to the west (3ds) |
Topic | Why is the Breakfast Club popular again? |
kukukupo 09/02/18 1:53:57 PM #23 | Sorry to hear about your bad taste in movies. |
Topic | If you wanted to be a math teacher but kept bombing prep questions, would you , |
kukukupo 09/01/18 9:16:33 AM #4 | Honestly - it takes a lot of time in something to become 'good' at it. I'm currently working on my math minor - so I'm sympathetic. As someone who used to teach and has been around education for many years I can tell you some of the better teachers are those who struggled initially. It is because of that struggle that you learn how to better teach others. That being said - my biggest regret from my early college years was not getting a diverse minor (in fact I graduated with no minor at all). Get a minor or associates in SOMETHING. |

Topic | GameTok with Lok: One of my favourite puzzle games is CastleQuest |
kukukupo 08/28/18 8:13:32 PM #3 | I remember being SO disappointed when I got castlequest. I thought it was this other game - I can't recall what the actual game was - but it was turn based strategy; kind of like chess with units. I saw it in a nintendo power magazine, and just always remembered it as Castlequest. |

kukukupo 08/23/18 5:08:48 PM #13 | Not even close. Japan by a mile. |
Topic | Legend of Zelda is one of the most overrated games in gaming history |
kukukupo 08/22/18 6:37:57 PM #13 | It is still the best Zelda game ever made. I still beat it every year or two. It's by far and away one of the all time great games. |
Topic | Physically or otherwise, do you consider yourself attractive? |
kukukupo 08/21/18 5:34:46 PM #60 | When I was younger I was attractive physically. Now, not as much. I probably could be if I lost some weight. |
Topic | Today's Top 10 (best PS2 RPGs) reaching a new level of facepalming |
kukukupo 08/20/18 12:43:07 PM #15 | TBH, this whole thread makes me realize the PS2 had a terrible RPG library. |

Topic | If you had to pick between giving Trump another term as president or Obama one.. |
kukukupo 08/12/18 6:13:56 PM #32 | Not sure I'd want either. I know it isn't popular - but I would give George Bush a 3rd term before I would give Obama one. |
Topic | What are some albums you consider to be perfect 10/10s? |

Topic | Is Disney worse now than when you were a kid? |
kukukupo 08/12/18 8:56:45 AM #17 | I would say generally worse. They used to be known for family friendly, high quality films. Now, it is more of a cookie-cutter, lowest-common denominator type fluff. I think they started running out of steam (at least on the animation side) around Lilo and Stitch. I can't think of an animated move from that point on that I actually enjoyed. |
Topic | Do you think stuff from our current pop culture will be relevant in 100 years? |
kukukupo 08/11/18 8:26:43 PM #5 | I think some of the music will be relevant. Only soundtrack stuff, though. I think most pop music will be COMPLETELY forgotten. Especially stuff from the last 20 years or so. 100 years from now, a lot of stuff (should/will) be public domain from copyright. I'm guessing some of it would be known because it will be re-imagined. |

Topic | Octopath Traveler is garbage way too grindy and the art style is dark and dreary |
kukukupo 08/05/18 11:08:15 AM #11 | I couldn't disagree more. It has been one of the more engrossing games I've played I the last 20 years or so. |

Topic | I finally got my stupid pinball working, cleaned, waxed and in the lineup |
kukukupo 07/29/18 8:20:20 AM #2 | Love the Asteroids. It's on my list some day. No room for one right now, and the arcade/pin market is getting expensive again. I should sell some of my games, I'd make a good profit. |
Topic | Are there better science-fiction films than The Matrix? |
kukukupo 07/28/18 7:56:34 PM #16 | The Matrix was pretty great. Shame they never made any sequels, but it stands pretty well on its own. I rather liked Dark City. Similar idea. I was always partial to Tron - although I know it seems pretty outdated now it was pretty amazing for its time. Looper was pretty neat. I also always liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - but I haven't watched it in about 10 years or so - it might not be as great as I remember. |
