The games themselves (the mechanics) are pretty good.

It would have been an instant classic if it was done in 2d instead of the crappy 3D, though.

Well, the best version of the game (3DS with 2d DQXI) isn't available, so no point in getting it yet.

Hopefully that's why the switch version is taking so long.
TopicWhat is your personal job interview success rate ?

Probably under .100

Before my college degree I was 100%. I got my degree and searched for jobs when the economy was bad - and there were regularly 200+ applications for most positions I applied for. The experience of doing job interviews was great, however.

In the last 10 years I've been 2/2.

I'll take it one further. It isn't even good.

I don't understand why people would want to play a MMO as a single player experience. To each their own, I guess.

I remember when PC graphics cards were optional. Games would run perfectly without them, but they looked a bit better if you did have a graphics card. I think Star Wars Rogue Squadron was the first PC game to require a graphics card.

I remember when 650 MB (MB not GB) was considered a lot of hard drive space. Fallout had a install of 650 MB that they called HUMONGOUS in all caps.

I can remember having to clear space on my 15 MB (NOT GB) hard drive to make room for a MASSIVE game that took up 9 MB

It all depends on the type. For pan pizza, pizza hut no question. Dominos and Papa Johns make some pretty good hand tossed, but the Papa Johns pan was some of the worst pizza I've ever had.

Honestly - it takes a lot of time in something to become 'good' at it. I'm currently working on my math minor - so I'm sympathetic.

As someone who used to teach and has been around education for many years I can tell you some of the better teachers are those who struggled initially. It is because of that struggle that you learn how to better teach others.

That being said - my biggest regret from my early college years was not getting a diverse minor (in fact I graduated with no minor at all). Get a minor or associates in SOMETHING.

It actually WAS Castle Quest:

I would say generally worse.

They used to be known for family friendly, high quality films. Now, it is more of a cookie-cutter, lowest-common denominator type fluff.

I think they started running out of steam (at least on the animation side) around Lilo and Stitch. I can't think of an animated move from that point on that I actually enjoyed.

I think some of the music will be relevant. Only soundtrack stuff, though. I think most pop music will be COMPLETELY forgotten. Especially stuff from the last 20 years or so.

100 years from now, a lot of stuff (should/will) be public domain from copyright. I'm guessing some of it would be known because it will be re-imagined.

The Matrix was pretty great. Shame they never made any sequels, but it stands pretty well on its own.

I rather liked Dark City. Similar idea.

I was always partial to Tron - although I know it seems pretty outdated now it was pretty amazing for its time.

Looper was pretty neat.

I also always liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - but I haven't watched it in about 10 years or so - it might not be as great as I remember.
