I think the fight I'm having the most trouble with now is this Belmont fight on the spirit board. Trevor I think? It's Shiek, Palutena, and Simon, and to top it off they throw in an Alucard assist. The most I've managed is to kill Shiek with low percents on the other two before dying.

Play team battles so you have the extra chance of a really good teammate carrying you to victory.

But just remember that you're doing team battles so you don't try fruitlessly to kill your teammate without realizing they're your teammate.

wtf I actually managed to beat the Legendary Bird trio battle on my first attempt, and with Robin (so I couldn't even use specials). Who am I and what did I do with me? Maybe the secret to being good at Smash is to be tired late at night.

I just want to know what spirits are summon-only. I assumed at first they all would be, because that felt like the whole point. So I ended up summoning Ashley before I found her in WoL, and I haven't summoned anyone else since. I worked hard for that Star Rod, and I've failed numerous times again trying to get it back on the spirit board. :(

You could ask the same thing about any game with a collection aspect. Because it's there to do and you can't consider it 100% complete without it. Maybe it doesn't matter to you, but obviously it will to some people.

So I beat an ace spirit on the spirit board, and the capture screen comes up and I see I've already beaten it once. The first time I hit the shield in a way that left just a small sliver of barrier up in the middle of a huge open expanse.

So naturally this time I hit that tiny sliver.

I stopped using Impact Run a lot because I figured it was probably teaching me bad habits. The extra mid-air jump node is probably bad for that too...

On another note, Robin has so many different boosters that work for him and I wish I knew if some were more effective than others. When there's nothing to react to, I default to Magic Attack, Weapon Attack, and Special Attack boosters, but I dunno if maybe the Electric Attack + or the Neutral B + gives a bigger boost than Special Attack or Magic Attack. Special Attack is also a legendary so that might affect team power enough to always be best, but maybe Electric booster is stronger enough than Magic to make it worth giving up boosts to the other three spells or something. Or maybe the Levin Sword is boosted by Magic too? Who knows!

Aside from Lucina (who is much more common than Marth), the echoes in general seem pretty seldom used. Pokemon overall are used often enough, but individually I don't think I've seen many Greninjas, Squirtles/Ivysaurs, or Lucarios. Haven't seen many Olimars. Think I've only seen Rosalina a couple times. Plenty of Corrin/Robin, but don't recall much Ike/Roy.

I've still got a lot left to do, though.

Aww yeah, finally unlocked Robin. Going into the Alucard battle with him immediately after did not result in an instant win surprisingly.

Dracula's Castle is a pretty neat dungeon, and surprisingly long. I figured it'd be the standard number of battles with one or two character unlocks, but no it just goes on and has a whole bunch of characters.

The battle started, I moved up a bit to be even with her, fired two shots, and she was blasted off screen. Took like 5 seconds max.

This is at about 11k team power, though. If you have weaker spirits it probably won't be that fast.

Jeff fight actually felt pretty manageable with a team level of around 11000. I even technically went in handicapped because I had an Assist Killer, but Jeff doesn't seem like he can be damaged anyway. So a Fire/Explosion Resist might be more useful (also had Franklin Badge). Or maybe Inkling AI isn't good against Squirtle or something. They liked to group and that made it easy to hit 2 or 3 together with Waterfall in the corners of the stage.

I was more worried still about Viridi, because it's a tight time limit. But she suicided on the second attempt so lol.
