I've been in NYC for 31 years. Love it, though I have taken some years off to live in the suburbs of Suffolk and deep Upstate.

It was a nice change but I could not help coming back to NYC to visit every 2 weeks, which is tough when you're 250 miles away. For most, it's a love/hate thing because there's a lot of annoying shit, but at the end, you get withdrawals when you leave.

There's so much wrong here that I'll have to come back to this post later.

But TC, you realize minimum wage in NYC is $24k-$26k right? And will increase to $27k-$30k in 3 months? Why the fuck are you wasting time going to the Meadowlands? It's a mission to get there just by car from Queens.

As opposed to just including some infinite ammo/weapons code for free or something.

Ever? The Phantom Menace then Revenge of the Sith. Attack is there somewhere as well.

Then probably Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Episode 9 would have been extremely hyped had TLJ been good, but I don't really care about Star Wars anymore.

Infinty War was more like, I just knew that shit was going to be awesome so it didn't even hit me like that. The real hype didn't start till a day or two before for me. I think it's also because I hadn't seen Black Panther till 2-3 days prior and wanting to go in order was really bugging me.

Because of syndication revenue, Friends continues to generate approximately $1 billion each year for Warner Bros. That translates into about $20 million in annual residuals each for Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, who each get 2% of syndication income for Friends.[99] The series has a syndication deal through multiple networks including Nickelodeon, TBS, and Paramount (formerly known as Spike).

This is the first time in my life I've ever seen somebody argue on the internet by posting links to studies you have to pay for. That's a good tactic. I'm gonna steal that.

"Here, click on this website. Yeah, you have to pay $300 to see the content, but if you do, then you'll see that I'm definitely right. Otherwise, you lose."

I'm serious, that's genius man. Genius.

I'm not gonna make up facts. Studies are regarded world wide.

If there's one study that's been done that disproves what you're saying, that is the only source out there. I can't make up info, and in the absence of it, it doesn't mean you're right. You understand that right?

And the article is available for free all over the place. As I said, you seem to know much about the internet works, so go read it and stop making excuses.

I mean, WSJ is paid, but is used as a source everywhere. It's just that people are not idiots and know how to read the article anyway.

You put forth a study that costs $30 to see. I'm not paying for that.

Again, for someone that says bots are available to everyone, which is a deeper dig to find reliably, reading the study is less of a dig if you've even been to college.

And that's how most studies work and cost genius. Further proof you've never been to college.

fenderbender321 posted...
But I can tell you this...the study likely fails to account for future human behavior.

This doesn't even make sense. You yourself have not accounted for it and has nothing to do with the future.

If it's irrelevant, post something that includes bots.

That's not how it works. The fact that you figured that's all there was to it shows you never took any higher education.

I gave you a study while you're providing opinion articles. Being paid doesn't erase facts. Since you're so confident in the inner workings of bots and software, being able to read the study should not be a roadblock for you.

If you can't counter what I've put forth to counter what you're saying, you've lost the argument.

We estimate that observed levels of resale increase allocative efficiency by 5% on average, but that a third of this increase is offset by increases in costly rent-seeking in the primary market and transaction costs in the resale market.

One third of the 5% increase in efficiency is offset by what you're saying. That means it's a net gain.

There's no way you read even a paragraph in the study. Go read it. Time is a variable in it and that thing is from 2013, before the prevalence of bots.

Do you understand where that's heading?

Not when the cost of them can be pooled together by ticket buyers.

It's clear you have no idea how any of this works.

As I said, scalping does increase allocative effeciency, which is what the economists are saying and you're repeating, but you're not understanding everything else nor the negatives.

Also, if you guys hate ticket scalpers, there's 2 voluntarily solutions that make much more sense:

1) Have the venues charge more for their tickets directly. This is the root cause.

2) Stop buying marked up tickets from scalpers.

The simpler solution is to have your information on the ticket like with plane tickets and have a cancellation policy with an appropriate fee.

The logic is that allocative effeciency is increased by scalping, which is true, but in turn the resulting rent seeking offsets the benefit.

Also, many of the arguments from economists over this subject are from before the prelevance of bots.

What is the 2.5 million light year void? Sure youd still see the Milky Way as you left it. But that and other galaxies would be 1,2 or 3 little stars in a sheet of black?

The distance between Milky Way and Andromeda is 2.5 million light years. There's nothing in between aside from the satellite galaxies and intergalactic stars near the edges.

It wouldn't look any different because the dots we see as stars will be replaced by the hundreds of billions of galaxies.

I didn't see any Bale in Affleck's performance especially neither in BvS nor JL, where his character does shift a bit, and Leto was trying to do comic Joker with a spin, but that shit can never translate to film well even if he didn't put his spin. That's why Ledger was a different type of Joker and turned out amazing
