That's one of those old myths that really needs to die. The same people would probably say if you don't eat every few hours your body will enter a catabolic state and you'll lose all your muscle.

Protein shakes aren't even 100% necessary either. If the best you could do was hit the gym, then a couple hours later eat a good dinner that would still get the job done. Total protein intake throughout the day is more important than timing.

I gotta say, I like how everyone is all over the 30mins thing. Ive been told 60mins (not like it matters.... because its bullshit). TC says 30mins and everyone adjusts their tune. Lol.

Ultima Dragon said it much nicer than I could. Just get enough protein and calories for the day and youll grow. Protein shakes arent necessary but they are convenient if you dont have time to cook or youre already full and cant eat another 1/2lb of meat.

The confession threads that appear every now and then are also really telling.

I think its definitely accurate. Some internet communities its hard to tell because of the how much traffic there is, others its easy to tell because its a tight knit community of 100 ish people. Then theres some that are complete grab bags with people from all walks of life, such as bb.coms misc section. Its about 70% miserable people who are incredibly negative, dont lift, and havent seen a vagina in real life. The last 30% are generally beginner or intermediate bodybuilders who havent been invited to private forums. Hell, the mod staff includes both, a real life police officer, and an actual non lifter neck beard who creeps out and stalks girl users who lift.

Its easy to tell what kind of place this is when theres threads like what did you get your degree in? And it has 7 posts. Its not like people think ha.. ha.. stupid question, Id rather get in a pissing match and mash the refresh button. No, its more likely that 7 users have a bachelors degree or above and the other perhaps 15 users were busy at work and didnt see the topic by the time it got pushed to page 6.

Then theres some absolute give aways like people who talk finances and the housing market and say live with roommates. Yeah great suggestion, except that literally 99% of people in college in the US already do, and a large amount of graduates continue to live with their friends from college or their girlfriend because the rent is too damn high and even if you make good money you dont wanna piss away 1/2-1/3 of your paycheck when you could spent a few hundred dollars and have social interaction on a daily basis. Way to talk out of your ass, cats out of the bag, we know you live with your parents

The internet is a tool, could be used for good or bad. Its great to learn some things and most common sense facts are a google search away, but I wouldnt let social media concern you too much.

That said, this place much like social media or early 2000s YouTube comments, is a window to a world you dont want to be in. One of those look but dont touch things. I think its interesting the views people hold, like the people earlier today thinking girl streamers actually scam people who donate money lol.

Helps you become more insightful and aware of the people you share the world with but dont take it too seriously, its good for a laugh or killing down time at work but nothing you actually want to invest time in.

I don't know who that is, but I'll assume you think what I'm saying only applies to female streamers. Everything I said also applies to male streamers, save for the last bit. Female streamers also have the advantage of giving their viewers female attention to put off an aura as if this is "their girl", hence how distraught that guy was upon the revelation. Her obliviousness to her effect on her viewers is not an excuse for taking advantage of them.

And for the record, I think streaming is the most dangerous thing to appear in gaming in recent years, right after paid gacha/loot box mechanics. It's a limited sense of social interaction and removes the critical thinking part that comes with gaming because you're not doing the thinking, the streamer is. For kids this is especially dangerous because this doesn't give them the social experience they need to thrive and it puts them into a vulnerable position for streamers to take advantage of them, i.e. "hey give me some money and I'll acknowledge you".

The people who spend copious hours watching game streams are not the types who have their social lives well put together. They're shut ins and socially awkward people with very few, if any real life friends. So they tune into streamers to fill in that void of a companionship. So streamers soliciting money from their viewers teeters a gray line of being crowd sponsored on one side and straight up taking advantage of them. It's one thing where you have a donation button saying "Help me improve my work, I would like donations for better equipment, etc." but some streamers would offer the incentive of giving them attention, whether saying a spectator's name in a shout out or answering their question, for a donation, basically monetizing social interaction with streamers. That right there is literal taking advantage of them.

And that girl in that pic knew fully well she was deceiving them by hiding her marital status. She is in no way a victim.

The thing too is that boomers could build wealth and acquire appreciating assets early on in life much more easily, and later in life they've had more disposable income to travel, go on vacations, or retire and do whatever. Millennials with stagnant wages who can't even afford down payments on houses (there are many) aren't building wealth nearly as quickly and won't have as much money to spend on experiences or retirement later in life. And that's not even bringing children into the equation.

This is huge too. If you dont go to college youre pretty much fucked as far as making a livable wage. Livable as in, you can afford everything you need, most things you want, and you have money left over when next paycheck comes.

If you do go to college, thats great, you are now able to ask for $15/hr and working for a piddly piss ass $10 for a futile attempt to pay rent and not have enough to buy groceries is a thing of the past.

The downside? Someone who graduated college in the 80s made the same as you make in the 2010s as a college graduate and guess what? $15/hr bought a while fuckload more back then than it does today, things like houses, or college tuition.

Those are ok excuses.... namely the if something breaks it gets fixed.... supposing your landlord isnt a slumlord or your apartment maintenance team gives a damn and will show up to fix something.

Costs a good chunk of change to break a lease, so no you cant effectively move whenever you want lol.

The only excuse to rent over own a home is I dont have $15-$60k to put a 5-20% down payment on a house bigger than a cardboard box so Im forced to rent.

Its not like you can pinch pennies on a decent paying job for a year and end up with $10-$15k for a downpayment because its the 80s and the house costs $100k. Those days are long gone.

Im great at low skill shit pay job interviews like retail or delivery driving. If I get an interview I get the job.

The $50k plus jobs Ive applied to..... not as much if going by success rate. Usually I run into a stupid af question because the interviewer sucks or I do great but lose the job to a fine girl or someone with 5+ years of experience who jumped laterally. That said my current job I had the interviewer said hed already read my resume and knew what he needed to know. Pretty much told me how they like to run things and told me to show up in 2 weeks lol.

Interviews are a joke to begin with. For most of them, the honest answer to "why do you want this job?" is "because I need to make money".

This only really applies for low skill jobs with shit pay. Any respectable job that pays enough to live off of that answer wont cut it. The interviewers also (usually..) dont ask rword/stupid as fuck questions like that, if they do they word it as So what made you interested in our company, compared to our competitors?

You mean starve in the kitchen, since you need an abnormally low body fat ratio to get abs. Not good for your body.

You don't have to starve but lay off the fries, the burgers, pizza, excess rice, soda, beer, fried food, etc. It helps that I naturally have a fast metabolism but make no mistake I eat a lot.

I don't do much cardio, I mostly lift and I work abs at most twice a week for 20 minutes each. I've seen more progress with a cleaner diet and exercise regiment than I did when I was concentrating solely on ab exercises.

By the facts you do need to starve yourself. You need to be at an unhealthy level of body fat to have abs. Your body does need fat to function.

Agreed. Buying a brand new car is almost never a good idea. I drive a 2012 Infiniti G37 and I paid as much for it as most cheap Hondas and Toyotas sell for from 2015-2018.

Exception is some luxury cars like Mercedes... if you cant afford a new one, you cant afford a used one lol.

This doesnt apply to some cars like Lexus where they have a reputation for reliability (because Toyota...). Cant think of a good reason why you would pay $40k or more for a brand new one when you could spend $10k on a mid 2000s one with plenty of life left in it.
